Been a while!!! lol
Ooops! I didn't realise that it had been so long since I last posted!! lol
Got a few pics to add :-)
For some reason the pic won't rotate but I love this pic of the moon-looks like the moon is laughing :-)
Came out like this because my hand wobbled as I took the pic! lol
Liam holding a stick insect-look how big they have got!!!
Emmie before going to Brownies to do her promise :-)

Slightly fuzzy pic of Em at Brownies on her promise day.

Still at Brownies.

Nice spring picture taken in my garden.

Pond full of frog spawn!!
Our new wormery :-)

A worm egg.

My hanging basket tree from a little shopping spree on Ebay. These were my Mother's day pressies :-)
Going to spray the bracket black :-) My tomato plants will be in these baskets :-)
Bird feeding station-I LOVE this soooo much :-D

Bit out of focus but this is a wood pigeon on the feeder.

3 tier planter. We have Alpine (wild) strawberries in the top basket, normal strawberries in the bottom and we will put something pretty in the middle one. Ebay again!!! lol
A lovely picture of our new 'Dog Loo' lol.
We are now being very careful about what we throw into the bin. The dog, hens and worms eat all of our food scraps, everything that can be recycled goes into the recycling bin and even the doggy doo's is being got rid of in a good way :-)
We normally have 3-4 black bags per week and this week we had 1 half full one!!!!!
Anyway, will go now but I will pop on soon to chat about the worms settling in etc.
Take care.
Jay xx

You can buy composting worms on the internet, via Ebay or even a fishing tackle shop-although fishing shops do not keep them in ideal conditions so I don't know how healthy the worms would be from there.
Anyway, you then need to add quite a thick layer of wet newspaper (not too wet though-best to soak it and then wring(sp) it out)
Next put the lid on and you are all done :-)
You should start adding small amounts of food after about 1 or 2 weeks and for the 1st three to four nights you may do well to put the wormery into a bin bag and tie it up as the worms try to escape at night so then it is easy to pop them all back into the wormery in the morning :-)
The other trays are added slowly as the worms work their way through the food and turn it into compost.
I hope that helps a little. Here are a couple of links that you may find useful and if you have any questions at all-please ask and I will try to help :-)
Good luck and have fun :-D

I think that to make a stackable one you will need some plastic storage boxes (3 or 4) and a lid. (The boxes must slot right inside eachother)
The bottom box needs to have the tap screwed in near to the base. The other boxes need to have some holes drilled into the bottom-mine have only got about 5 holes which are about 1cm wide but I would probably add a few more than that ;-)
Then you need to add a brick or something into the bottom box (sump) so that any worms that fall in can get back out. You then put the first box into the base box so that it is resting on the brick.
Now you need to put some sheets or wet newspaper or mesh into the bottom of box 1 to cover the holes. Next you add some compost/earth mix or better still 'coir'. You can buy this from Ebay and probably garden centres. You need to soak the block in warm water for a couple of hours and it swells to three times the size and goes all crumbly like compost.
You then add this to the box 1 and add between 500g and 1kg or worms. (Dendras are one of the best) cont.... -
Right, I have bough my tap to make my wormery, what do I do now lol
