BELGIUM 2006
In the last week of September I had a few days in Belgium, I stayed in Brussels this time (I normally stay in Oostende) and spent two days exprolring the capitols tramway network, and a day visiting Gent and Antwerp. When I arrived on the Monday teatime there were no trams out I anly saw two an unidentified 77xx on the subway ramp at Boulivarde Poncaré, and 7802 outside Midi, I dont know what was happening, as there were lots of passengers waiting for trams. Tuesday morning dawned with a normal service and I went out to the Woluwe area to photograph and rideon the P.C.C. Bogie cars, with the remainderof the day photographing round the northen part of the network and dodging the rain, on Tuesday I visited Gent which was shrouded in fog for most of my visit I think the tram on the low loader was 6313 from the photo it looks like the fleet number ends in 3 as i saw 03 and 23 out it could be 13 or 23?, I then went on to Antwerp and travelled round the system there, I have to say I am not fond of the De Ljin livery which seems to show up the dirt, which is more prevelent in Antwerp. on Thursday I had a wander round the Southeast of the Brussels network and went to photograph a cople of places I missed on Tuesday due to the rain. All in all I had a wonderful few days tram chaseing.
I hope you like the photos, I have used the Tramway Destination for point references, or map locations taken from the book 'Flash 2006'. if anyone can throw light on odd mistakes please e-mil me at WIMDEBUSSE@aol.com
