Happy St. David's Day
Happy St. David's Day!
By rights I should be providing photos of Daffodils but that will have to wait until I can find some: there are nice plants out in flower at work but here in windy Bedfordshire they are keeping a low profile.
For the time being I wanted to show off my new macro lense thingy (as us pro's say) with a few pics from the conservatory, featuring the naughty bits of orchids: they can't touch you for it!
I needed to get some of the seedlings out of the propagator and this has meant turning the heating on in the greenhouse. Cherry Toms and a few other bits and pieces are now on the bench and not really enjoying it after the balmy warmth of their earlier home. To fill the vacant spaces Ricinus and Aster have been sown. That leaves Marigolds, Sweet Pepper and Sweet Peas still to go before I start on the packets labeled "March".
Nettles are starting to grow early here and I hope to get right in to the middle of bushes with a Roundup spray before they leaf up themselves and make such an easy solution impossible.
