Hidden object games - the AOL Games guide
I'll update this list as new games are added -
ALL - apologies that this has not been updated for some time. Right now, we are in the process of a major overhaul of our games site - more of which in the coming weeks. At that point, we will start regular updates. I ask for a month of us to turn things around. In the meantime, if you check our puzzle games page you will see our top 10 new releases, many of which are hidden object focused
Mystery Case Files: Huntsville
The game that started it all. While it looks a bit shaky these days – lacking both the variety and game length of the rest of the series – you have to salute its prescience.
Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects
The follow up to Huntsville, and the locus classicus of the hidden object game. This was better looking and offered an all round improved gaming experience Vs. Huntsville, with mini games and puzzles adding replay value. One of the games of 2006
Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst
The biggest game of 2007 thus far, by a country mile. Added a series of tough lock puzzles to the core gameplay of Prime Suspects. You might find our hints and tips handy
Hidden Expedition: Titanic
Another of my top games of 2006 – search the wreckage of the Titanic for valuable antiques
Little Shop Of Treasures
This has proved very popular. Does not add a great deal to the winning MCF formula, but is a slick enough take off to be an enjoyable experience
Mysteryville
Can you solve the mystery of the disappearing cats? A good story here, but it does not disguise a certain poverty of new ideas.
Travelogue Paris 360
Smart – hidden object goes 3D (sort of) – hunt down items in beautifully captured French locations.
Paparazzi
You’re a photographer – take snaps of the hidden items

Mystery of Shark Island
Bored me to tears – hey, I’m being honest – but this shell spotting game might just be the perfect way to unwind after a hard day
Hide & Secret
Not much cop– lacking the depth and production values of MCF, but included for hard core fans.

If you need a dummy's guide - or simply a gentle introduction to the world of hidden objects - this is a good place to start. Think Mystery Case Files meets Harry Potter
Private Eye - Greatest Unsolved Mysteries
Good mini games. Nice combos. One for the hidden object pro

Agatha Christie: Death On The Nile
Hidden objects + a great murder story = something of a classic

Looks amazing. Find objects related to your big day in a series of room. Great mini games. Nicely threaded story.

Similar to Ravenhearst, in the same way that Manchester United and Manchester City as "similar"

Very excited about this one.The follow up to Hidden Expedition Titanic. Looks fantastic. The mini games are great. Superb

Travelogue 360 Rome - Curse Of The Necklace
The follow up to the very popular Travelogue 360 Paris. Find objects in beautiful 3D locations. Classy

For me, a little cut price in its execution - nothing new happening here, doesn't have the lavish production values of a game like Dream Day Wedding. Standard sleuthing fare

The sequel to the popular Dream Day Wedding, this is another piece of sophisticated hidden object gaming. A cut above most of the games on this list
OOPS - looks like Dream Day Honeymoon is having some issues...will let you know when it is fixed.
UPDATE - THIS IS NOW FIXED

Not had a chance to give this one a go - let me know what you think!

Big City Adventure - San Francisco
A lavish rendering of the lovely US city. All the usual hidden object totems are there - mini games featuring tile games etc - and executed with a class that's a cut above the pack.

More of the same here - take a trip back to Mysteryville for an all new story

More magic and hidden object japes in a Harry Potter sorta fashion

Perhaps a touch easy...but it looks and plays fantastically

Interpol: The Trail of Dr Chaos
Hidden objects meets James Bond. Though the high tech world of international espionage is rather undermined by the requirement to find hidden horses. A touch easy in my book
More games to be added soon

I can see that AOL never read our comments. It's a wonder that AOL are still in the market of selling games, especialy Hidden Object games.

Big Fish games is another good free download site - it lists a new game every day including hidden object - its also a bit cheaper than some other sites out there

Hidden object games are simple, great fun and addictive so I dont think we are receiving even a half decent service here from AOL!!
