Feeling Happy
Time flies
How time flies when you're having fun (or not in my case - still painting!). Not that I mind that much because the painting seems to be chilling me out after coming home from a mad day at work. Or could it be the wine that I'm looking forward to when I eventually flop on the settee? I have a rule when it comes to my wine - I'm not allowed any if I'm using the stepladder - I fall over even when I haven't had any wine and I think a trip to casualty would definitely slow the painting down! Didn't do a lot Friday evening - except catch up with the housework (in the bits of the house that are not full of boxes). Got our new doors on Saturday and got home just in time for X Factor - everything stops for X Factor!!! Sunday spent most of the day painting (you've probably gathered by now that I'm not a very fast painter!!) until I'd had enough and decided to open a bottle of wine and have a nice relaxing bath so it was just me, my bottle and my ipod chilling out. I tend to sing (very loudly and out of tune so I'm told) when I'm listening to my ipod and my other half had to tell me to shut up as half the street could hear me (that's probably why they all went out for the evening). Come to think of it didn't see The Chuckster much either! I think I've got a great voice and if it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't get time off work I would have auditioned for the X Factor myself. Ah well never mind.
Not doing any diy this weekend as we're off out two nights in a row (Thursday and Friday) which is very rare (probably won't see much of Saturday then - just my bed!). We're off to see live bands so I'll be able to sing along to my heart's content and no one will be able to hear me - bliss!!
Better go and show willing and watch 10 minutes of the football (footballers legs and bums I should say) before I, you've guessed, have a glass of wine - medicinal purposes of course - makes me sleep!
Luv and Kisses xxxx
P.S. Here's The Chuckster in his favourite kitty basket - an empty Strongbow box - very comfy prrrrrrrrrr!

Feeling Happy
Back again
Almost a week away from my pc but I couldn't go on any longer - let me explain - my other half and I (well I) decided that it would be nice to knock our living room and dining room into one big room (well not that big coz we've got a small house!) redecorate and lay a new laminate floor and so we started. Not such a big job as the wall taken out was only stud partition. We (well I) then decided that it would be nice to have varnished wood on doors, door frames and skirting boards rather than paint so out came the old door frames and off came the old doors and skirtings. As our house is quite small we didn't have anywhere to keep the coats and shoes so we (well I) thought it would be nice to use a corner of one room to add a small coat/shoe cupboard so more stud partition and the new cupboard took shape and is going to be very useful. But, to do all this I needed to empty the room and an old unit that I've had for a very long time - why did I keep so much junk? Now every room in the house is full of overflowing boxes (which I will sort out soon) and that's why I haven't been able to get to the PC because I have only now cleared a space so that I can turn it on!
Anyway been painting all week after carefully choosing the colours and my other half now thinks it looks like our local hospital waiting room (charming!) Chucky (the cat) who from now on I will refer to as 'The Chuckster' has been in hiding whilst I've had the paintbrush in my hand and told me (coz Cats can talk!!!) that if he wanted a Natural Calico and Moonlight Mist overcoat he would have gone out and bought one himself!
That's all for now - time to get the paintbrush out again.

Feeling Hopeful
Hi there
Hi there and welcome to my ramblings. To start, just a little bit about me - I am 42 and married. I have no children but live with a grumpy old man - my cat Chucky that is and not my other half! Chucky is 9 years old and here he is in a quiet moment.
(Chucky is named after the Rug Rat and not the nasty evil doll - I just wish he knew this - especially when he's hanging off the back of my legs by his teeth and claws - instant legwarmer!!)
I live in a town in the Welsh valleys and work full time in a busy office - oh for that lottery win - retirement and a move to hot and sunny climes - sorry just drifted off into dreamland. Right, back to
reality - I enjoy drinking wine, going out with 'our gang' - I drink wine, going to the occassional bike rally where I drink wine and something I enjoy doing when I haven't had any wine coz the words blur - reading. I guess that means I quite like the odd glass or two of wine.
I have tried many times (unsuccessfully) to get fit (think the wine plays a part in it) and have a purple girlie pushbike with a lovely bell - unfortunately this has two flat tyres (the bike not the bell) at the moment and is 'parked' in my Dad's back bedroom (where it has been gathering dust for the last few years) - one of my New Year Resolutions is to get it fixed and 'get on my bike'. Perhaps I better scrub that resolution from my list as my air walker is currently being used as a shelf.
That's it for now - hope you enjoy my bits
