"A Close- Up" - Photo Hunt #124
Hello and welcome to my entry for this weeks' photo hunt, courtesy of our dear friend Krissy: Close-ups of my miniature world, which took me over two years to build, decorate and furnish. Enjoy.
It's good to be back and will be even better, when I finally get around to ordering broadband. Was busy after house move and then became very ill, just in time for christmas! A tooth filling caused an infection in the marrow of my upper jaw bone. Long story. Haven't been too well since I had that filling done last August, but thought the cause was stress. Never realised it had anything to do with, what I thought, just a sensitive tooth. Sunday 23rd December intense tooth pain took over. Managed to struggle through Christmas Day at our sons place, then tried chasing an emergency dentist. (Couldn't track one down on Christmas Eve). On 27th, after loads of hassle and enough pain to flatten an elephant, I tracked down dentist in Aylesbury. She took xray and told me to see my own dentist. Well, he finally returned to work on 3rd January and xrayed the tooth again, he gave me the verdict; put me on massive doses of antibiotics and arranged tooth extraction. Roll on Christmas - I seem to have missed the last one!
Here's the next one..............
And another.........
Bet you're already getting bored..................
Not far to go now...........
Only one more, then I'll sign off, promise (sighs of relief)............
Thanks for dropping by, take care, keep well.

I see more every time I look at the house. I just noticed the dog by the fireplace and he looks like Salty. In so many of the photo's I would not know they are miniture if I were not informed first, as the detail is exact, with furniture (and floors, walls, rugs, etc.)lookin
g identical to full size. Just amazing. mark -
Hi I know this is very a very late comment but I did explain you would have been great company for my hubby at Christmas he had an abscess on his tooth and sciatica in his shoulder so we have great fun. Love Joan.

Beautiful pictures Sylvia... I had forgotten about your wee dolls houses, you are clever aren't you :o)
Is there anything worse than tooth pain? Poor you! I hope that you're feeling lots better by now my dear.

Hello Slyvia Your antique miniature house complete with old fashioned toilet it extraordinary! Every detail is perfect. I have never seen one so well crafted. I had an ear/sinus infection over the holiday and was miserable. One Friday I was falling down because of inner ear imbalance and sick to my stomach with it. I have been on anti-biotic ear drops and will see my ear doctor again. He did my previous 2 ear drum replacement many years ago. I have a permanent perforation as my sinus does not ventilate. My ear drum replacements kept failing because of it and were repeated over the years. I was unable to hear what people were saying for years. I have been using salt water that I take in through my nose that flushes the sinuses great. The cabin addition has been overwhelming me this last 2 years and I am only glad the hardest part is over with. My 2 workers got the plywood on my roof and I have temporary tarpaper (which is also permanent underlayment) protecting it that is well fastened down and has survived strong winds. My spinal epidural is this week so I hope to be feeling better with the pain especially during the weather changes. I will eventually have surgery to remove the bone that is severe at the stenosis, though I also have bulging discs to complecate things. I do not want surgery until I am incapacitated as my surgeon has instructed. However, the definition of incapacited would describe how I am now during the rainy cold weather. It is just very cold now. I have also formed a 'shelter' around my bed that is keeping the cold floor problem away with small electric heaters keeping the cabing comfortable. I did not purchase any wood this year and am only using the woodburner during extreme cold. Best wishes to you! Mark
