7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
OOh,my mother was extravagant when it came

 to wrapping presents.One year there was a huge

 box for me.It was decorated like a church,with

 colored tissue paper designed as stained glass

windows.It was from my brother but mom

wrapped it.I couldn't wait to open it...

It was a huge stuffed donkey.He knew I loved

horses and I guess that was as close as he could

find.I  still had that donkey when I had children.

But they would sit on it and bounce.

Finally he bit the dust!!!

 
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?

What truth?Oh-you mean the 'rumor' that there is no Santa?

Well-there really is and he lives in my heart..............

 
9. Do you open a gift on ChristmasEve?
When I was a child -all gifts were opened Christmas

 morn-the tree was put up Christmas eve while we

were sleeping(poor mom).Now,it seems since our

kids are grown we get things we need and usually

get it before Christmas-so we have it to use.

Hubby keeps asking me what I want-to figure it out,

I know what I 'want' but I also know we can't afford

 it since I got that big-assed truck to pay for,LOL......

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Well-I have so many decorations(I hit the after

Christmas sales) that it varies each year.

But this year I am only putting up small trees,

no room at the inn...

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I love to watch the snow fall,I love to go out and play in it-

especially when it packs and can make snow people...but don't

like it when people wreck,,,,slide into ditches etc.

When will they learn not to drive little sports cars in winter--

(they invented 4 wheel drive for a reason)

 
12. Can you ice skate?  

Sorta kinda-did-w-a-y back when I was young- I had moms

skates when she was a kid(really old uns).I roller skated

better...............

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

Oh-it was an oven that really cooked-I would cook taters and

hot dogs and my brother Larry would sit and eat them all day......

 
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

If I can get through it without anyone arguing-then I had a good holiday.........

 
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?

Pumpkin Pie   with whipped cream......

 
16. What is yourfavorite holiday tradition?  

The grandkids come over to get their gifts and I take pictures-pictures-pictures.......

 
17. What tops your tree? 

Usually an  Angel
 
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? 

Giving-I get all year long and I so enjoy other people getting something they want....

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

White Christmas-although I love lots of them-even Grandma

got run over by a reindeer(I know-I know-I know-It's not very

Christmasy-oh well...)

If I can find egg nog or butter rum ones-peppermint is ok-not my fav.....

 
21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized?

 Or Is it still magical for you?

Well-yeah-it's commercialized-but that is what keeps people

having jobs -- buying and selling-so 'Let It Be'......Christmas -I

feel-Is all about the kids........................
