Gale

It's blowing a hoolie out here, with winds of 40 mph gusting to 60 mph. Hope the electricity supply stays up; the line comes up through Skye, and a contact near the Dunvegan sub-station reported several large dips, which we also experienced. It is lashing down with rain, spray flies over the causeway and it's a horrible evening.

yea, we got gale warnings on early tv and at about 3am i got woken up by some damn thing clattering down the road - i can only tell you it was noisy...and whatever it was disappeared around the bend at some speed! Gusts not so bad now. We didn't get the frost as expected. Real old roller coaster weatherwise at the moment.

Good grief, Guido!  I know what those numbers mean for someone who lives on the coast.  Wishing you the best of luck with the power since it is in the dead of winter now.  No warm summer breezes.  Good luck my friend, and be safe in this blow.

I hope your electricity stayed on and that the storm has passed you by now.

Stay inside and don't go out flying a kite!!!  (you know there is always one crazy person going out in a terrible storm for some goofy reason!!)

The forecast says we have to expect similar weather Guido.  We will probably get it through the night....wonderful!    Hope you don't loose your electricity.
I've been having problems with AOHELL too.  I am getting so fed up with it.
Stay safe and snug.  Hope you get a decent night's sleep and the wind doesn't keep you awake.
    Jeanie
