Wednesday stuff


Quick entry from me...I'm packing stuff and sorting out some letters etc...

I'm doing ok. Being back home is weird though.

Still lots to organise but I'm gradually getting there :)

Still reading journals but dont have much time to comment I'm afraid.

Went to the pub with my sis last night...we played scrabble...I won :D

Milo is doing ok...he likes living with my dad :D

Things that have happened...


Sorry it's been so long...

Mark and I have split up. I have moved back home. It's all for the best...dont worry, I'm ok :)

And I have still got Milo...

Lots of organising to do and things to move etc...

I'll update on here as and when I can :)

I'm still reading journals but wont have much time to reply I'm afraid.

stuff to worry about...


My mum hasnt been well...she's been at the doctors a lot recently and today they told her it was some kind of virus. I hope she's ok.

I managed to burn myself a few days ago. I was going to do a stir fry...I put the oil in the wok and was heating it. I realised I'd put too much in so went to pour some of it out...I came over all dizzy and lost balance a bit and spilled hot oil on my arm. It shook me up a bit. It's all red where it burned but it's no where near as bad as it could have been. I phoned NHS direct straight away after running cold water on it for 10 minutes. They said I'd done the right thing and to wrap it in cling film and put something cold on it from the freezer...I did that and it seemed to help :) It's still a little sore now though...

I managed to do a few things in the cyber crop on the weekend. Unfortunately, I didnt win any prizes but I'm pleased with the things I made so it's ok :) I'll use my next entry to show you the pictures of what I made...I think you'll all be quite interested in my dog-mannequin!

Happy Birthday!


To Mark...it's his birthday today :) He's working night's tonight though...we went out last night instead to celebrate :)

We went to a nice little restaurant. I had leek and fennel soup to start (it was delicious!) and Mark had prawns. Then we both had roasted duck breast with blueberry sauce, saute potatoes, green beans and butternut squash puree...yum! Mark was too full for pudding but I had chocolate parfait with chocolate 'creme'....it was all yummy. They had a little dog there so we made a fuss of her :) She's a Jack Russell and her name is Doris Day! lol

Then we went to the casino. It was the first time I had ever been to a casino.  I actually found it kinda boring...I'm not much of a gambler. All the tables were full so we went on the slot machines. I won £10 but Mark put it all back in!

Jan asked me about the story in my mini book from my last entry...here's what it says...

They met on a bus returning home. Grampy walked nan home. They only lived round the corner from each other and didn't even realise! Grampy asked Nan out but she couldnt see him for three weeks due to 'prior engagements'! Grampy has previously been going out with Nan's neighbour. Nan had been seeing various others and was writing to a Scottish man up in Blackpool.

After 'courting' for several months, Grampy was fed up of Nan writing to this other man. While on the bus he said, 'Either we finish and you go with him or stay here and marry me'. That was how he proposed and they were married six months later! Over 50 years on they are still happy together. Even though no-one thought Grampy would ever get married!

So...it was all about the buses! lol

Finished my project!


Well, I finally finished my project. I did it for a challenge for the UKS Cybercrop...I could only use items in the kit I bought as well as black/white card, black/white thread, black/white ink, stamps, tools (hole punch, trimmer etc), black/white pens or pencils. The theme for my team was romance...

I'm really please with what I came up with :D



The mini book fits nicely inside the house...I had to make several prototypes of the house to get it right.



The mini book is all about my grandparents. As the theme was romance I journalled about how they met and got engaged...not 'traditionally' romantic but it's pretty funny! :)

'ello!


Well, after a nice little journalling break I feel ready to write again :)

My sleep pattern is much better now...I slept from 10pm til 9am today :) yay! I find I get extremely tired from around 6pm...I cant manage to do much when I'm like that except sit or lay down but that's ok :)

Been working on my mystery project for the cyber crop...it's almost done, when I've finished I'll post a pic or two on here to show you :)

Made lasagne for tea last night (with Mark's help of course)...it was yummy!

not good at all


Had an awful 'night'...it was 12.30pm by the time I got asleep this afternoon...I woke at around 5.30pm...not much sleep at all and I'm feeling it...I feel very...icky :(

I woke up and Mark wasnt here...turns out he went over to his mate's house...I was a bit miffed. Plus he still hasnt emptied the kitchen bin...I've been asking him to do that for ages cos I cant do it myself (cant lift the bin bag out of the bin...no strength)

Received my mystery kit for the cybercrop...it's very pink! But in a good way...it reminds me of candy floss :) I have a plan for what I'm going to make...I have made some prototypes already :) I'm actually excited about the project :) The mystery kit I had from the last cybercrop was horrible and not my taste at all...so this one is a nice surprise :)

I'm gonna go and try and do a bit of sorting out...I might have to rest a bit until this nausea goes though.

snow?


We had a little bit of snow at about 6am ish...all clear now though. I know people in other parts of the country have had it quite bad.

Another bad night again for me. It's going to take some time before my sleep is sorted again :(

Went to my parents' last night...watched Dr Who :) Mark was out with his mate from work. He got home at about 1am ish...he was drunk...it was funny! I made him drink lots of water then I sent him to bed. He said he felt ok when he woke up but he's gone back to bed for a little nap now...hee hee.

I wanted to get a lot done today but havent managed anything much yet :( I'm feeling pretty fed up.

extra extra!


I actually have some decent news to tell today!

A while ago I contacted my old uni so that I could get all the info I needed to transfer my credits to the Open University so I can finish my degree. The stuff arrived today! Not sure how many of my credits they will transfer over but I'm hoping it'll be 240...which would cover the first and second year of a degree...then I'd only need 120 third year credits :)

It's exciting but scary.

I'm waiting for a scrapbook kit to arrive...it's a mystery kit for the cybercrop...yay! I did some crafty making last night and it was good cos it took my mind off of worrying about the benefit stuff.

I'm going over to my mum and dad's tonight...and tomorrow!

Thank you for all your comments about the benefit stuff. It is so stressful. One of the things the woman asked me was whether I had been stressed about going to the medical...of course I was! It has completely messed my sleep up again...I didnt get to sleep until after 6am this morning and I woke at 2pm...I hope I can get it sorted out again soon.

Off to get ready now!
