Where's The Music

When I was on Adam Walton’s show a couple of weeks ago he was in a foul mood (off air). His main bug bear was the lack of decent music this year.

‘I’m still playing the Soft Hearted Scientists, The Caves & Gintis for God sakes!’ He spat.

All of which came to him at the turn of the year. This is of no discredit to Welsh bands who have released material this year, but there has been a void in the last 6 months which leads me to agree with Mr Walton.

David Wrench’s album is due out imminently, but of course I’ve had it for 3 months so its old hat to me now, although still at the top of my playlist & very very good. But apart from that & the Texas Radio Band & Skep there’s been little else to actually set me on fire.
Has the scene become complacent? Or is it just the great weather & football? Or am I, like the Walton just a little too picky these days? I don’t mean Adam is, or I for that matter, I’m just looking for excuses as to why no one has sent me a CD with a killer hook line on it.

Please do.

Also inherited 4 chili plants off Fairziff, who aquired them from Trevski. Starting life near Chester, they've travelled to the Fairziff Institute in Rhyl & now survived the journey in a Booze Buster carrier bag via Asda to the Secretary's House in Dyserth. Where, as you can see, they're enjoying some quality time with the goldfish (Dave & Pauline). More from the Chili Cam as things progress.
