Hearing Faithless - new CD

Gint Edged

Went to a private (invite only) gig on Saturday night (5th - I'm busy!!) to see Gintis unveil their new guitarist, Kyle (from Jives Room) & a new set, minus the stuff the departed Ste Gintis wrote. The band, after a shaky start seemed far more relaxed & the set stronger (although Oliver is sadly missed), with the new material proving that as songwriters, Gintis could be quite formidable. Playing also, were Modern Tradition, Gintis Joe’s other band. I always think you should have only one band on the go at one time, as it never worked for me – 4Q – NRG caused conflict, & Sons of Selina & PSST caused well documented problems; I always kept ideas back for the favoured band & not the ‘other one.’ Anyway, Modern Tradition used to be Elapse; a very young shaky outfit from 3 years ago. They’re now a confident young guitar band not afraid to ‘go off on one’ in their songs. Even had a guest saxophonist to help with a jammed out instrumental of ‘Come Together’. Would like a CD please.
