Just as you should not object to any experience until you have actually experienced it, praise should be reserved until you have demonstrated that an action or experience is actually praiseworthy.

I am guilty of making the rash claim of sleeping like a baby: although I generally go on to clarify that I had wet myself and woke up crying!
