MARIE'S MUSES

Hmmmmm . . . I awoke at 2 o’clock this morning to see Todd’s side of the bed empty. He often has problems falling asleep, so I just assumed he went in the other room to read and fell asleep there. But then . . . coming downstairs here this morning, I have noticed some things that are not quite right . . . His shoes are neatly laid by the end of the sofa on the floor. I am sure they weren’t there last night and the car has been moved. It is now half way up the drive. I KNOW it wasn’t there when I came home from work last night. I checked and he is sound asleep, all tucked up in the spare room and I can hear him breathing, so I know he's alive at least. Obviously he took himself off somewhere last night. I hope it wasn’t the hospital again, and if it was . . . I am fuming that he didn’t wake me up and also mad at myself for not having woken up! Soooooo, the big questions are . . .

Why are his shoes by the sofa on the floor?

Why is the car halfway up the drive?

Why is he sleeping in the spare bedroom?

Why didn’t he wake me up?
