Trooper
Well I have been thinking about this...I am a binge blogger! I am off on holiday on Thursday and hope to come back revitalised and raring to go! I am hoping to catch up with you all before I go and see what I have been missing.
We are all very sad, because 3 weeks ago today, Rhianna's horse Trooper was put down. He was a beautiful, gentle horse and was 18 years old. Also he was very...posh! Poor Rhianna having to bravely face school (she did have one afternoon off) When I went down on the Wednesday I took two small bright green bushes and she will plant them in his favourite place in some bushes in his field. I was helping her with her homework (difficult!) and she leaned over and hugged me but she was crying...it keeps sweeping over her in waves of horror. She sure wasn't like this when Vinny the hamster died! Although upset of course, not decimated. I hate to see her pain. I could only say that sometime soon she will be able to speak about him with a smile instead of tears. I had many over him myself, he was soooo lovely.
Rhianna has this picture of him on her mug. She is going to send me some when she is online again and I will put them on to show you....
These pics are of our last hot day over the common....we were lucky!
she feeds this swan by hand...sheeesh!
so chuffed but I was so anxious I missed the action!
she wanted me to get in with her...blow that! she soon got out when I reminded her about the terrapins in there!
what a shot! with my eyesight I mean!
about halfway there now...
what else have I been up to?
I went to see Metallica at Wembley a while back
I 'pinched' this one to show you how good the new stadium is!
This is Gary, one of the friends I went with. Sil, his wife, who doesn't like the music, sent him down to mow the front grass first. I had to go and make sure he did it properly! he he!
babysitting Star. she is terrified of this air raid shelter but has to investigate it!
is it following me??
I wasn't close enough behind her. she's such a poof!
Well, I will stop now as I have TERROR of boring you! lol

I had just written you a big long comment then when I clicked saved, the page timed out and it was lost. :(
Mostly I said I was sorry about Rhianna's horse and how sad that was. Hope you had a blast at the concert and I loved the dragonfly photo.
Also, I believe animals can see things we can't so Star may have a good reason to be scared of the old bunker. She's a beautiful dog. Reminds me of the one we had named Angel. She died from parvo.
Love you my friend and thank you for the comments in my journal and your emails.

Lovely photos! It is always sad when a loved pet dies and a horse must be terrible. She will get over it but it will take time as always. Love Conniexx
