I've Been Tagged!  By Lisa

Hello!

I hadn't intended making an entry today but I found out that Lisa tagged me when I opened up my e-mail.

So...here goes Lisa....

I've Been Tagged

I'VE BEEN TAGGED

Lisa of Life on a Bison Farm has tagged me:

Rules

1. The rules of the game

2. Each player answers questions about themselves.

3. At the end of the post the player then tags 5 people, and posts their names, goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know they've been tagged.

Questions

1. WHAT WHERE YOU DOING TEN YEARS AGO

I was still Senior Cook at a girls boarding school.

2. WHAT ARE 5 THINGS ON MY TO-DO  LIST TODAY

1.  I have vacuumed and wet wiped the interior of the car after Bryan washed it but still need to do inside the windows.

2.  Send and e-mail reply to my son to thank him for the photos of my granchildren.

3.  Phone my sister.

4.  Phone my daughter.

5.  Prepare the evening meal.

3. SNACKS I ENJOY

Fresh bread and butter with a glass of milk.  Fresh fruit or sunflower seeds.

4. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE A BILLIONAIRE?

I would buy land and set up ammenities and facilities for inner city children who never get to see the countryside or the seaside.

I would build homes for the homeless alongside small industries where they could re-train for a job in industry  or make known items which would sell for a profit.

I would grant & fund cancer research.

I would also help the RSPCA

I would set up aand build new orphanages in Romania with central heating and with comfortable living quarters.

I would train up nurses and acquire doctors to teach those carers in the orphanages of Rumania and elsewhere how to empathise and care for the children in their charges whilst encouraging them to play and learn outside the buildings and not leave them in their cots until their legs atrophy.

I would pay for more staff so that they could give these children and young adults quality time and tutition to possibly become self sufficient in flats of their own and possibly do some kind of work for a living.

I would provide all Africans who are suffering from Aids with the medication with which they need to stave off the onset of full blown aids.

I would also fund Children in Need

5. BAD HABITS

Sitting at my computer too long.   Lol!

Nagging my daughter to go slow when she drives my car with me in it.   Lol!

6. 5 PLACES I HAVE LIVED

Lanarskshire/  Scotland.

Glasgow/ Scotland

The English Lakes

7. 5 JOBS I'VE HAD

Trainee Hotel Manageress

Bar Tack Operator (Sewing all the unfinished ends into the jumpers) in a Lakeland Knitting Factory.   (Lastedfor five weeks)

Senior Cook at girls boarding school.  (Worked at the school for 26 years)

BAGA Gymnastic Coach For Girls on all four pieces of apparatus while running a gym club at Leisure Centre.

Retail Assistant in an Art Gallery.

5 people I want to know about:

Sybil from Sybil's Village Life

     Jan the Gryphon

Julie of MidwestVintage

Jan of Serendipity

Joan of Joan's Musings

I'm looking forward to reading their replies if they can find the time.

Quote for today..

"Champions do not become champions when they win the
event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they
spend preparing for it. The victorious performance
itself is merely the demonstration of their
championship character."

- T. Alan Armstrong

Well you are full of surprises! I did not know you had been a school cook for 26 years! Neither did I realise you were a gymnastics coach....fantastic! You can put us all through our paces!
I am back from a wonderful month in Brazil.....beautiful country and beautiful people, so happy and fun-loving. It made a change from miserable UK!But things are not so good as I have the gall stone pain back. Love Conniexx

I enjoyed your answers, especially what you would do if you were a billionaire.
