Turning off my alerts for a week or so...

Wednesday I have nurse and doctors appointments at different times throughout the day, just MOT ones, and Thursday I have work. I am usually quite tired for a few days after I have been to work, but I love going so much it makes up for it.

I will keep Guido's alerts open as he always watches out for us all and I know if anybody needs a helping hand or a prayer or two he will flag it up. I will be right along as quickly as I can.

These pictures were taken in the Suntree area of Florida ~Viera~ south of Cocoa & Titusville ...

A Sandhill crane couple recently had an exciting addition to their family. When they built their nest near the water's edge it immediately drew attention of passers- by. Soon there were two eggs sitting on top of the nest and the mother on top of them.

The really curious passed by the site every morning and would stop their cars to get out and see if there were any new cranes yet. Many brought cameras of all shapes and sizes and would stand near the water for long periods of time hoping to catch a photo of the hatching.

Robert Grover, a dentist, didn't actually catch the birth but, he sure did capture some fabulous shots of the Momma, Papa and baby (the second egg never hatched). Then he put together a slide show with music that is just too good not to share.

I found your blog because I visit Jan/Gryphondear's site whenever she posts a new Word of the Day. Jan & I worked in close proximity at Boeing for several years.

I have visited England twice...1987 & 1989. We spent a delightful couple of days in the Peak District & toured the Lake District during that same time. I want to come back to England for a visit, but fear the cost is too dear.

I retired from Boeing 11 years ago, but work full time for a non-profit organization helping adults learn to become better readers. Low-level reading skills is prevalent among people who learn differently, so we have a program that matches a tutor to work one-on-one with a student who needs help. I train volunteers to be tutors. At the Christmas holiday this year, I plan to retire from this job...I'm 67 & ready to have fewer responsibilities. I plan to continue to train tutors, but will not have to be in the office daily.

I will check your entries periodically. The neighborliness you are extending is brilliant. Bless you for caring for him. I pray your cancer continues to be in remission. Blessings on you, too.
