GRAND HISTORICAL HORTICULTURAL WALK

Sunday 14th September 2008 at 1pm

Christopher Metcalfe, one of our members, who is an independent London walks guide, is conducting a tour of Hampstead and Hampstead Garden Suburb, home of famous past and present authors, painters, writers and broadcasters.

Wheelchairs are welcome, with an attendant. There will be stops for local refreshments.

Meet at: Hampstead Underground Station

Sunday 14th September

1.00pm for a1.20pm sharp start

Free of charge

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes approx.

Christopher would like to point out that people taking part in this walk are responsible for their own Health & Safety.

The Kennington Garden Society has been in existence for over 70 years and thrives on local gardening interest.

We have monthly meetings with lectures and demonstrations on a wide variety of gardening topics. These are held in the exciting new hall of Roots and Shoots on Walnut Tree Walk.

There are two flower shows a year (March and July) which take place in St. Anselm’s Church Hall at Kennington Cross, where gardening, cooking and children’s classes are on show and judged for cups and prizes.
