Nice to have another local one... feeling a bit spoiled at the moment! It was great, though, to be able to do most of the 'getting ready' at home and leave for the gig at 9pm (Derek and Dave had already been to set up the gear earlier on).
Got to Chicago Rock and were told that our stage time had been put back by half an hour, which was lucky as Andrea's train had only just got in. So above and below are pictures of Sadie adding the finishing touches in our dressing room/toilet (we get the whole of the upstairs of Chicago Rock as our dressing room here), and Andrea talking us through the purchases she made before getting the train to the gig.
It's always a bit quiet here at Warrington... And, as you can see, Jimi Hendrix (below) looked as raring to go as everyone else that night...
Before going onstage we managed to get ourselves one 'pre' drinkie, which ended up being our 'post' drinkie, too, as we were making good time. The set went very well and the audience were definitely up for it(which was a pleasant surprise to all of us) and we even had a few Irish dancers, too. I didn't dare do too much mucking about on stage as the floor there is highly polished, so there's always quite a sure danger of me ending up unceremoniously landing on my arse -and that's just with walking cautiously! Fortunately this didn't happen, however I was entertained on stage by catching sight of a bloke in the audience who kept burning himself with his ciggie, and was so shocked each time he did it that he looked like he was doing some sort of tribal dance. Kept me well amused, and he didn't even know it.
After the set we went up to the dressing room and got all our stuff together as Derek and Dave started on taking the gear down, and soon enough we were away and on our way home, which was a very short journey indeed. Below pic is of me after the gig, just about to load these pictures.
