Hearing Jingle bells!!!!  Yep...it's still on!!

Hi everyone

I haven't written for ages, I've been soooo busy I just haven't had time.  I've got a few minutes now though, so here goes!!!

Home ed has taken on a slightly different direction (for the moment anyway).  I have decided to start up my own business!!!!  I.m what you call a MEGA MULTI TASKER!!!  I thought....well....why not!  I already manage 11 kids, a husband, a house , shopping and home ed, why not make use of that spare half hour in the day!!!  I could have put my feet up....or even gone for a nice soak in the bath....but not me, oh no, I always manage to make things more difficult for myself. 

My 9 year old daughter Nicole spends ages plucking the grey hairs from her Dad's head, she normally doesn't bother with mine, too boreing, ( not enough greys ha ha).  I'm sure her attentions will soon turn to me, I can feel the colour draining from my hair already and I'm not even up and running yet!!!

So Demi has been helping me with research and no doubt she is learning a thing or two, I certainly am!  I am really excited about the whole thing and can't wait to get up and running!  It is going to take some time though, I've got alot of stuff to get through first. 

 I have a huge photo of my kids infront of my desk so when it's 2 o'clock in the morning and my brain just wants to shut down, I just look at that photo and that keeps me going.  It was after all,  them that inspired me to do what I am doing!!

Hi Demi here,

I got up really early today so that i can get used to it because I am going to start a paper round soon .  My mum thinks it is a good idea because it will wake me up really early in the moring but that is ok, because then I can look forward to getting paid every week!!!  I am saving up for a new phone, I have a pink one but I would like the Sony Ericson K750i.

I spent the morning learning about the environment and all the things that are destroying it .  After lunch I did some maths and english .  I am going to play a science game now on the internet. 

I have got drama, singing and dance classes tomorrow, I am looking forward to that!!!

Happy New Year to All!!!!!!!

Hi All

I hope everyone had a Great Christmas!!  I think I did.........don't know still a bit numb!!!  5 hours it took on Christmas eve (for Santa to do all his deliveries!)  Must start before midnight next year!!  Things needed building, things needed wrapping......and batteries needed replacing and thats before the kids got their hands on them!!!!  Well....you goto make sure things are working ok!   By 4.30 I couldn't care less how a present was wrapped and my mouth tasted like I had eaten a roll of sellotape!  Oh and must get bigger house for next year.....presents have not fitted under the tree for a long time but I always managed to fit them all in the same room as the tree.....Not this year, had to spill out into the hallway!!

 Got to bed at 5am and at approx 5.07am one of the little darlings got up and proceeded to wake all the others up. Vaguely remember the odd kid nudging me to tell me what Santa had left in their stockings! 

We don't allow the kids downstairs for their main presents until we are up and the Christmas tree lights are on and the Christmas CD is playing, usual we aim for about 8am but this year I couldn't open my eyes and it had gone 9 !!!  We eventually fell out of bed in a panick when one of the kids said that my 4 year old had gone down stairs!!!  He would most certainly open everything in sight if we didn't stop him quickly!!  Now the kids know exactly how to get us up quicky and no doubt they will remember for next year!!!!!

Now the next problem we have to deal with is the photos, I like capturing their faces as they open their presents......not easy with one camera and 11 eager and excited kids!  Managed to get a few photos though. 

So the kids are over the moon with all their presents and that's when it hits you!  You spend months getting everything ready, making sure everything will be perfect and who gets the credit for it........Santa!!!!  It is the best moment of every year!!  Only one complaint for Santa this year and that was from Kai my 4 year old.  On Christmas eve I overheard him talking about what Santa was bringing him......a helicopter!  That was the first I had heard of that, but I wasn't worried because I knew he would love everything he did get and forget about the helicopter........Wrong!!!!!!  When asked if he liked everything he said he loved everything but he didn't get a helicopter!!!

Hi Demi here,

Happy new year everybody !!

Today my brothers and sisters went back to school so I have started back at my home education . 

I started my day  by making a gingerbread cottage that my nan bought for me .  I didnt have to make the gingerbread I just had to put it all together with iceing and it was fun .   You can see my gingerbread cottage in the photo above .

After that I did some maths, I did graphs then I did some food tech theory .

Hearing Nothing.....baby in bed.....arr....silence is golden!!!!!

It was a really crazy week last week.....but still managed to fit everything in.  Even managed to pick kids up at right times (and right places!)  It was a bit mad but it was all worth it!

Turns out my 4 year old was a dancer in his Christmas play......I have never laughed so much.  He was really good, he knew exactly what to do and when to do it, infact some of the bigger kids where looking at him and copying him.....fantastic!!!!!  Until he started to show off.....He just stood there, right in the middle of the stage, folded his arms and started making his 'funny' faces.  I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, my Husband kept telling me to ignore him but it didn't make any difference.  He was getting such a reaction from the audience....he loved it!!!!!! 

 A few years ago, a little old Spanish lady said to me that she thought my Son  had a face like a 'cartoon baby!'  I was assured she meant it in a nice way....and now I realise exactly what she meant!!!!  He's got such HUGE brown eyes and this little button nose....he looks a bit like Olive from Popeye!! But that's OK I'm his Mother, I'm allowed to say that!!!!!

Got a phone call from the primary school at lunch time on Wednesday, had to collect my 9 year old as she had turned a rather funny shade of green!  Got back home and about 10 minutes later got a call from the high school asking me to pick up my 11 year old!  GREAT!!!  Always the same every year, they come down with something or other just before Christmas.....and once one gets it......they all get it, at a rate of about 2-3 kids a day!!!  The average 24 hour bug takes us 2 weeks to get through!!!!

Demi did her performance on Saturday and was really pleased with herself.  I felt really bad though because I couldn't go, infact nobody could!!!  My Husband had to work, my eldest two were both working too.  My back had given way on Thursday so I was in no fit state to leave the house and I still had bodies lying on the sofa hanging over buckets!!!  Demi said she preffered it if nobody went because she wouldn't feel so nervous if she didn't know anybody.  She came home afterwards and she was buzzing with stories of what had happened!  There will be another performance in the Spring! I will make sure I am there!!!!

Today was the last of the Christmas parties and tomorrow 5 kids finnish for Christmas holidays!  So tonight they will be wrapping presents for their teachers......and their helpers.......and their other helpers.....the lady who helps with the reading.....oh and the lolly pop lady!!!!!  16 presents!!!!!  I remember when there was just ONE teacher to buy a Christmas present for!!!!!  I had to draw the line and say No more when my 9 year old told me to get a present for the caretaker. 

So they finnish at lunch time tomorrow and that will be the home ed out of the window until they go back in Jan!! 

Got to go now kids are overloading my ear drums with tales of the christmas party!!!!

Hi Demi here!!!!

Tomorrow is my last day of home ed this year !!!Only one week left intill christmas I cant wait !!! And I am getting an mp3 player (pink) :) It is really cool

I did my play ( christmas is cancelled ) on saturday and it was really good ! Even though I fell off my bike twice before I got there   I hurt my arm the first time and landed in a load of mud the second time (thank-god nobody was watching ) I had mud all up my jazz pants !!

I went christmas shopping yesterday and my feet were killing when I got back but it was ok because my uncle came round with some christmas presents and mine was a nice soft pair of slippers.

My mum got a kitchen utensils set off my uncle....Evrybody always buys my mum things for the kitchen.  I think they should buy her perfume or somthing nice like that....so does my mum.  When my little brother wins the lottery he is going to buy my mum a nice big cooker and some nice big new pans!! My mum said she cant wait ha ha ha .

Been without for a couple of days now but I think we're OK now!!!!

Hi Demi here

I haven`t written for ages because every time I think of writing it is too late and I have to goto bed. I have read some of your comments and in answer to the question (what is it like being one of 11 kids) Its ok(sometimes!)  Its better other times and sometimes I wish we did not have 11.  

I have just done some spanish work and a spanish test and I got 66% and then I went back and did it again and  I got 100%

I went to see my little brother and sister in their christmas play today.  It was so funny I couldnt stop laughing.

I made lentil and bacon soup the other day and it tasted nice and everybody ate it.  My mum learnt to make it at school when she was my age. 

I am going to meet up with my friends now because they finish school early today so my mum said I can go out with them for the afternoon.

I will write back soon

Feeling Hopeful

Hi....the reason I say I'm in a hopeful mood is.......I hope I'm still standing come the end of this week!!!!!!

Started off the day with a much needed trip to the hairdressers, it was my last chance to fit that in before Christmas

Nursery christmas presentation today,  the little ones did great!!!! All that rehearsing I did with my 3 year old over the last few weeks, all that singing.........she never opened her mouth once!!!!!  But at least she stayed put and didn't come running over to me.

Tomorrow it is the infants Christmas play.....that will be interesting,  my 4 year old will most certainly head straight for me the minute he clocks me!!  I still don't know what he is supposed to be,  my 6 year old is the Queen in the play and she doesn't know what he is either!!!  His costume looks like something out of the Flinstones!!!!  When I ask him he just says he's the Christmas play!!!!!

Thursday I've got kids going to this panto and kids going to that panto, kids with Christmas discos..... and they all need picking up at completely different places......thank god they all need picking up at completely different times!!!!!

Friday....OH MY GOD.....I remeber this one from last year, BREAKFAST WITH SANTA!!  I have to get them all to school for 8!!!!!  That means I have to get up quite a bit earlier, explain to my little ones why they are not getting breakfast.......then put up with all the crying from them because they want their cornflakes!!!!!  I will get them to school for 8..... they will be over the moon to see Santa when they get there..........they'll have a lovely breakfast......just wish it was a little easier!!!!

   Demi has been working around all the hectic schedule, so not so much written work done so far this week but we have fitted a couple of lessons a day in!!!!  She came to the nursery presentation today and she will come with me to the play tomorrow, she is looking forward to that.

So quite a full week, then add the home ed...A VERY FULL WEEK!!!!!

Must remember to breath every couple of seconds too!!!!!!

Hi.....I can't believe it's been three weeks since we started the Home Ed!  It is hard work and I know I'm not likely to have a moment to myself at least for the next two and a half years but hey...what's new!!!!!!!  If it helps Demi then it is something that I have to do!

The Woman from the Education Department came round yesterday for "The Meeting", to see if I am giving my Daughter an education (Or whether I need carting off to jail for not sending her to school!) 

 She was delighted!!!!!  Demi's work was so lovely!!!!  It was such a pleasure for her to be reading!!!!!!  GREAT!!!!!!!  But then she just had to add....I don't see any history book! 

 Rather shocked and I must say....rather on the defensive side!!!!!!! I told her that we would be doing history but starting with our family tree.   She was very interested in this and I just couldn't help myself.....I told her that we had just discovered that Demi's Great Great Great Grandmother MURDERED Demi's Great Great Great Grandfather!!!!!!  Clonked him over the head with the iron!   AND.....She got away with it!!!!!!!!!!  The woman from the education  left quite soon after that!!!!  My Husband thinks I've got a wicked streak!!!  I agree!!!!!But I'm only telling the truth!!!!

I was watching Coronation Street tonight and that little thing, Audrey Robberts has got going on with Kevin's Dad......I was actualy quite jealous!!!!  Not because I fancy Kevin's Dad but jealous of the two of them being alone in a house!!!  No Kids!!!!  I looked across at my Husband and I said " I never thought the day would come when I wished I was Audrey Robberts!!!! This is BAD....SAD.....I don't know what it is!!!!!

Anyway enough about Audrey......I mean she can't say she's taking nearly a dozen Kids to Santas Grotto tomorrow can she!!!....I can!!!!!!!

......And that's exactly the plans for tomorrow!!!!!!  I've got My Mum and my Sister coming with us too!!!!! 

Demi can't write the blog today, she's already gone to bed.  Big day tomorrow.....last rehersals for her dance presentation!!!!!

She will probably write tomorrow.
