Feeling Quiet
Sneak Preview
Just thought I would do a quick entry today to show you a picture of the sugar flowers I've done for my niece's 30th birthday cake this weekend. Not the ost wonderful photo, but you get the idea. I can't show you the cake at the moment as it's a chocolate sponge so it has to stay in freezer until Saturday - don't want it to go stale! I've got some chocolate flavoured sugarpaste to cover it with. Now that's not the easiest of mediums to work with but this that Keith fetched (well, wouldn't you know?) is rock hard. They ought to call it Gibraltar paste. My friend Linda and her husband are going to try and work it up a bit for me but you can't mess about with it too much or it goes dry and cracky and you can't use it. I hope we can make it malleable because not only is it difficult to work with, it's also expensive.
Just quickly, before aol cuts me off, Keith's offering for today: "We'll have to take everything up off the floor on Friday"
"Why?"
"You've put it on the calendar that the blind man's coming."
"So?"
"Well, he'll trip over"
It took me a few moments to work it out too! The man with the blind is coming. CLOT!

Aren't you a clever Girl, I would love to be able to do that. funnily enough Allan and I have been clearing out a Cupboard. I found Sugar paste Roses I had saved from my 40th Birhday....some time ago (lol) The cake was made by a Man, Chocolate with a Cointreau filling. Needless to say I was reluctant to throw them away :>(
Thanks for your recent comments, I'm healing nicely after the fall.
