Hi Everyone

Happy New year to you all - I hope you are all well and had a good Christmas.

I am now back at college - and its all systems go!!! Lots to do - not many months or days to do it in!!

I have decided to use my internet interests in my work - I am fascinated by the way we can communicate on the internet and make friends.  Is it different to the real world? Are we braver on the internet - do these friends mean as much as friends in the real world - although friends in the virtual world can become friends once we meet them.  Do these friendships have a deeper meaning than friends we meet face to face? Its a fascinating subject but Im not sure yet how Im going to use it in my art - I might make a film of myself - I dont really know!!!

 It would be good if you could just tell me a bit about yourself and why you like blogging and chatting online. How do you feel when you make friends in journals and whats the difference between them and friends in the 'real' world if you know what I mean!! It would be great if you could email me or leave a comment on my journal.   What would be really good is to collect photos of the people I have met online - these photos would be part of a display of my work in my college.  I dont have to put your name  and it will be purely for my art not for anything else.  My email address is elainey2465@aol.com

Hi All,

What truly lovely people you all are!! Ive been away so long yet you are still there for me - that really is something! So good to hear from you all!!

Im now going to start my dissertation - well maybe tonight - can you believe my first draft has to be in by 27th November and I havent even written a plan yet.  I spose I will get it done.  The deadline for the finished dissertation is not til the March but they want us to have nearly done it by the end of this month.  Trouble is I havent even got all the reading matter in yet. Some of my books have come from Canada and USA.

Did I tell you all Im going to New York in March - I'm going to meet my lovely friend Sandy - who does read my journal and I met her on AOL - can't wait to meet her!!  The trip is a study trip with college and its for a week - and I will be away from the kids and John for a week!!!! Will miss them but Im so looking forward to it - cant believe I will actually be in New York!!! Crikey!!!

Well I ought to go check out all your journals then Im going to start maybe a plan of my dissertation - but crikey my favourite program is back Im a celebrity!!! Love that!!! Im addicted to it - well more like I like Ant and Dec LOL.

Crikey how am I going to do a 7,000 word dissertation in just under two weeks!!! LOL

Hi All,

I don't know whether any of you have me on your alerts anymore, but I thought I would come back and try start up my journal again.  I am doing my degree this year so I might not have time to visit you all.  But, I miss you all very much and would like very much to catch up again.  If any of you get my alert and others don't can you pass on my regards and maybe tell them I'm back!! Thanks.

This year I am studying collecting - so if any of you have collections or any of you know anyone who have blogs about their collections - let me know I would be so interested in anything you collect.

Its great to be back and I hope that I can share with all of you my degree year. I'm so sorry I didnt show you all the pics from my last years show but I didnt do very well and it got me down.  Didnt want to talk about it. But Im determined to make this year a success.

So all you collectors out there - get in touch!! Is there blogs for collectors?

I want to express my thanks to all of you that commented on my last entry - I really appreciate your support. Its been brilliant how you have all stuck by me even though I havent given any of your journals any time lately. I've not been a very good journaling friend to you all - but you have all still been there for me. Thank you all so much.

My life seems very busy and hectic at the moment and I never seem to get a moment to myself. I hope to be back properly soon and catch up with you all.  When I get a moment I will be putting my pictures of my show on to show you all.

I am not going to put the pictures of my show onto journals as I had promised - I had a talk about it with my tutor today and I only just got a pass!! All that hard work and effort I put into it and it was nearly a fail.  Apparently my proposal and my evaluation was brilliant and my words were good but the show did not live up to what I was saying.  They said that it did not work! Made me feel very down and wished the world could swallow me up.

I am on the degree course for next year and I now wonder if I can do it!!!  They said that I only just passed!!! Well my tutor said that he pushed for me to pass as he knew I had alot going on with Joe' hospital appointments and that - so I feel like a bit of a failure today - I had a cry infront of him - how embarrassing was that!!!

But he said that I should use it in a positive way and help me with next year.

Im sorry Ive been away my friends - but you were the first people I came to with this!!!!

Sorry People I said I would be back and then Im not!!!

Will be back soon - I promise.  Your all prob fed up with me now!!! Just not had the computer on - been outside in that sunshine all the time and also been getting drunk at first night previews.

My show went really well and was well received.  Then John and I went to see the degree show (that I will be doing next year!!) last night - so classy!! You can tell its a higher level of education - wow thats all I can say!!!! Brilliant!!!  Anyway, I havent photographed my show yet - but I will be over the next couple of days. Was a bit hard with everybody around.

All done at college - show is up and the exhibition opens on Friday night - so a boozy night for me. 

Dont get the results for my work til August!!! In the post!!!!

Dont get the results for Joe til August!!! Have to phone up as the appointment they gave me we are on holiday then!!!

Really need to know!!!

Nearly there!!!!  Last day tomorrow!! Floor to go on - ceiling to go on!!!

Joe's last injection tomorrow the last of eight he has had over the three week test. Emma (my step-daughter) coming with me to the hospital tomorrow!! Bless her.

Hopefully have pics of my show next week.
