Feeling Sad

Poem ~ Disturbed

DISTURBED

Wings beat at a tethered flame

Tears fall like constant rain

Is this a good day to die?

Pain sears a withered heart

Feet tread a lonely path

Is this a good day to die?

Lovers arms give warm embrace

They cannot fill the empty space

Is this a good day to die?

Boots kick a fearful face

Sharp blade invades soft lace

Was this a good way to die?

    Hey, Deb!  This poem is very well written and shows talent.  I have to worry a bit, though, due to the content.  I hope you are okay and not contemplating acting this out.  Other than worrying about you, this is a very thought provoking poem!
