Hearing The computer chugging away

It has been a long time.

Lots, lots to tell you!

Firstly, I now have friends, to whom I shall refer 'Aaron, Barney, Sam and a ton of girls I have a vague acquaintance with', the first two notable for wandering the streets by night on two occasions, 'Marlon and Charlie', probably my best friends (going out, male and female) whom I introduced xD and ... um ... oh yer there's Andrew as well, I added him on MSN and he's back, with a highly depressing blog on his MSN Space and various depressing screen names, and plus there's Tom, who, I have realised, doesn't hate me/disrespect me/consider himself better than me in any way (except at English, p'raps), hence I do have a really nice friendship with him now, we often talk through lessons, Adele, who I talked to a bit last night, and notable for the fact that she knows I'm bi ('cause she asked me, and I said, 'no, I like girls as well), and ... hmmm ... Ally, who now also knows ...

Secondly ... GCSEs smell ... and I have got into lots of weird and wonderful music such as Radiohead

Pus there's all this ...

You'll remember Ally, the hot guy from French. Well, three weeks ago, we engaged in a steamy footsy session, interspersed with discussing having a sound booth (he works as a sound engineer) with a 'no girls' sign outside the door, blah blah blah. (During which time Harry said something 'Ew, get a room', or something like that, so now I think I'm off him, which is very nice; I believe the blow was comforted by the fact that at this point mine and Ally's legs were ... well ... connected.) Then, this happened another week. And then, another week! (This week.)

Friday night. My parents are out for a whole night. I initially invited Aaron and Sam round, who would hopefully bring some hot girls, but then, after ringing them (!), it transpired they were going to stay at Will's (and they weren't even going to tell me!). I then talked to Ally on MSN, mentioning the empty house, and I can remember us typing furiously, discussing him coming round, and he sounded disappointed when Marlon and Charlie arrived at the door (I had told them earlier about Aaron etc. abandoning me), and we spent a fun eveing lounging around, drinking fresh orange juice (lol, yum!), etc.

So, it's understandable that I was quite looking forward Marlon's gig/party/thing last night down in his (cavernous)garage, as Ally was doing sound. So, the gig happened, it was pretty crap, but quite amusing, and I met quite a few people, including Will from almost a year ago, and a ton of people from my lower school, and then about 20 chavs arrived (with Marlon's dad looking particularly alarmed) at this point. I undertook the task of barraging the last room with beers in it, with Will, Georgina and Chanelle (about whom I made a most un-funny joke about Chanelle and Schnell, I believe it began with the line, 'Did you ever take German?'), with Will pining to get in. Then, apparently, (as we were sort of in the underground part of his house), Joe, a chav (whom I formerly knew from Gang Show xD), was either found naked in the bathroom with 6 girls and Marlon's dad walked in, but, the more likely answer, (as the carpet seemed quite lumpy when I went in there later), he was trashing the bathroom. Either way, at this point, Marlon's dad insisted upon chucking everybody out that Marlon didn't know/that was wearing white trousers. Anyway, during the Great Purge, I said g'bye to Will (who, it seemed, did not know Marlon at all), accompanied by an 'Add me on MSN!' to which he responded quite enthusiastically, and I remained with Ally and his sound-equipment-lugging-mates.

Anyway, a while later, me and Ally ended up in a corner in M's hallway, surrounded by crowds of Marlon-acquainted people, and somehow, we got onto a conversation about sexuality (I wonder how? lol), and the words tumbled out of my mouth, 'Are you straight?' Anyway, as for the chavs ... Marlon's dad couldn't call the police to his house, coz of all the underage drinking, but there were some searching for all them all, and a riot van, apparently. 'Yes,' came the reply, 'Are you?'

'Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...'

'I won't think any less of you.'

So I told him. And a bit later, when we had moved into the peace of the living-room, we were talking ... 'The guys most comfortable with their sexuality confuse you,' he said, and I nodded. He also apologised for making me think he was queer, when it wasn't really his fault. So I sat, pretty numb, for the remainder of the night, until Charlie arrived (she was at another party), and I talked to her, for a bit. I would to point out, at this point, how awesome Ally is. It kind of made me like him even more ... and last night, I even cried a bit over him. Still, at least I am FREE! Ugh. I would also like to draw this to a better conclusion, but I need to eat, and drink.

Hearing Royksopp ~ The Understanding

I guess this journal is pretty much defunct. Getting MSN has improved my life a helluva lot; last weekend was awesome.

And defunct for good this time. I'm going to concentrate on real life henceforth - as we all know, these two worlds should not collide *coughs - Callum-* :o)

It's a year since I started to become addicted to the internet. If it wasn't for AOL's journals and Gay and Lesbian youth message boards I don't know what I'd be like. From them I drew so much confidence. I remember the thrill of reading them for the first time, finding that there were other people out there in exactly the same boat as me. But now it's time to ring Harry up drunkenly, do the same with Ally, and, who knows ...

Though Ally has the same name as me ... that could prove to be a problem ...

Goodbye AOL.

Hearing iTunes shuffling itself

It seems Tom has much more respect for than previously thought, which is extememly comforting. Or he is pretending. Of course not, we're best friends.

Another empty weekend approaching. What was I hoping for?

Was nauseated, again, in Science, by being taught about reproduction ... I really am a freak, everybody else was fine, but I felt the worst that I ever have since the talk on STDs last year, apparently I looked green, and ready to keel over at any moment according to Alex, which actually matches how I felt.

I either feel depressed or incredibly happy (to be depressed later on, of course) having left French on a Thursday, having left 90 minutes of Harry purely to myself - today was depression, though (as Phil was walking with Dean) my conversation on the way home with Tom I found extremely satisfying, and cheered me up considerably, and not just due to the fact above.

Though Harry has finally added me to MSN.

Les Simpsons finished, and there couldn't have been more of a difference between Homer Simpson and Harry ... there was a moment when he just looked at me ... it is strange how 25 minutes of dubbed-French-speaking yellow shapes makes you appreciate Harry's complex handsomeness even more (the best I can describe it).

Wow, what are the chances a depressing Barenaked Ladies track would shuffle on during this?

Hearing Ocean Size - Jane's Addiction

Hey, so town next weekend with Tom and Marlon, and it looks like I might get an invite to Marlon's next party (he's had four since the summer).

Strange: Ally (remember?) who I hadn't really *considered* since the "Are you gay?" (my response being "Hwhuh?" incident of a few weeks ago got my MSN address off Marlon, and we were chatting last night ... he writes in a pink font ... *chew-lip*

He's online! WHOOPEE!

Hearing Well what do you think?

Eight tracks, Tommy? EIGHT???

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Aeroplane

"I like pleasure spiked with pain and music is my aeroplane ... it's my aeroplane ..."

A dark period in the history of the Chili Peppers. Positive lyrics about Anthony's love of music? I don't think so ... if you replace the word "music" with "drugs" it makes a lot more sense, making this incredibly positive song horribly dark. Incredible bass-slapping or bass-popping or whatever, a heavenly chorus, and funky, springy bass throughout the verses and especially at the end.

Jamiroquai – Space Cowboy

The funk - oh the funk! The gurgling bass, the mellow keyboard sounds, probably the only song to ever include the lyrics "interplanetary vibe". Another song about drugs - honest, I'm not a user!

Switchfoot - Let That Be Enough

If I was Christian, I'd probably like it even more, as it is actually a prayer if you listen to the words carefully. The products of my own browsing entirely.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give it Away

Mind-blowing funk-rap from start to finish, it's the signature sound of the band's album Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

What is there to dislike about this track? Three different riffs, the goofy funky bass, an incredible - and wierd -video, lyrics covering topics from materialism to how Bob Marley taught him to "off it".

The "Live in Hyde Park" version is incredible, Anthony screams the lyrics throughout, and the final riff is something I can only describe with "OH MY GOD!".

Muse – New Born

Exhilarating, spine-tingling stuff. In fact the whole of Origin of Symmetry is, with cool names like "Megalomania" and "Space Dementia" (which has lyrics like "I'd cut your name in my heart ...") Good for walking to school with.

Counting Crows - Accidentally in Love

How could I have a list of favourite songs without one that reminds me of Harry? It was featured on Shrek 2, which we watched in French (in French). Happy song about love and stuff (that makes me depressed afterwards of course).

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Bunker Hill

A b-side - a b-side - of the Fortune Faded single. The verses are a bassy romp and the chorus is sweet and melodic. Just one I really love at the moment.

The other track, Eskimo, is also wonderful, with some interesting harpsichord sounds, and a dramatic bit around 2.05.

The Calling – Wherever You Will Go

Acousticcy one, and wonderful vocals and melodies.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Leverage of Space

From the Live album, proabably my favourite album actually ... mellow bass ... the chorus dies and then a poisonous guitar solo kicks in.

Barenaked Ladies – Shoebox

Oh, a great song, thanks for intro'ing me Rob.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Venice Queen

"We all want to tell her ... tell her that we love her ...."

Two songs in one, that most owners of By The Way haven't heard, as they switch straight to the Zephyr Song or Can't Stop and then go "oh, it's pants". In fact the whole album is incredible, except for the singles, funnily enough. The most polished-sounding album, with no swearing and drug references (well, there might be a few of both actually) for once. All the tracks play off, or rather melt into each other.

The aforementioned last track (Venice Queen; I've aforementioned quite a few =D ) has mind-blowing harmonies and ...  is indescribable. John, Anthony's and Flea's (I think) voices lull me and thrill me.

Oh, and I didn't mention Under The Bridge ...

Hearing Fireworks banging around outside, plus Hootie and the Blowfish

Harry slipped from me at that one vital moment of the week: walking back from PE. I was going to bring the conversation round to my birthday presents; "Hey, I've got a £20 Virgin Voucher, wanna come and watch me spend it? Tomorrow? Maybe we could see a film too?"

Adding Andrew to MSN is the best decision I've made in a long time. Not only have I started to become friendly with him again, his brother's in with all the gay kids in his year (is that sick? An 11th year going out with a 9th year? I don't think so, Joe is actually taller than me).

Oh, and I would write more, but no time byee!

Hearing My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge

Neither Tasha nor Harry have added me to their MSN.

Me and Harry must be fascinating to watch for Tom, seeing as he knows etc.

Science = boring

Though I'm no longer obsessed with Harry,  just it's a Thursday after double French ... an hour and a half with Harry all to myself.

No, you're right, nothing has really changed since September.

Except my life has got more boring.

Oh, though Tasha did text me back, so hope is not all lost.

Hearing Royksopp ~ Melody A.M.

Teachers, stop setting me coursework! Graagh!

My trumpet playing has recently ... er ... become really quite [cos as this is something of a public journal]. I really would like to quit at the end of this year. And learn bass guitar.

Significant dots representing something I can't be bothered to write:

Hearing Rob's voice echoing in my head: "SCROT! SCROT! SCROOOOOOOT!"

The urge to blog has won ~ Why didn't I see this before?

So I went out, "went out" with Claire in Year 8. Basically, I didn't know what I was doing, didn't like her at all. I got the mickey taken out of me etc a lot ... so, the night of school disco (which I didn't go to, contrary to what I'd informed C earlier that day), probably when she planned to kiss me (eww), I was texting Harry, telling him about how I didn't want to see C anymore. Then, at the disco, H showed C the messages we'd been exchanging - BREAKING US UP (we did)

It is feasible. I would have been shattered had I found out that H had a girlfriend.

Interesting stuff.
