If you love gossip, then you'll love iBanter!

Hello... remember me?

If you don't, it's because I've been away working on many other projects for a while and I'd like to share with you today my brand spanking new, lastest and best one, so far.

Introducing, iBanter...

If you haven't already guessed what it is yet from the image above-right (duh!), it's yet another social networking site, except that my one uniquely differs from the rest of them and is better than the others in lots of ways.

Why did I create, iBanter?

Basically, I was annoyed at how many profiles there are now on MySpace that were created by marketing auto-bots (not real humans), sending me huge amounts of automated friends requests daily.

I was sick too at how many very young children have now posted profiles on sites like FaceBook. Some of these are as young as 11yo, trying to pass themselves off as being much older.

Then, there are sites like Bebo, who's phylosophy seems to be that if your profile page doesn't glitter, shine and bling so much, that it takes the page 10 minutes to load before it can be read, then you can't be in our gang.

Well, my idea behind iBanter, was to keep it clean and simple and easy to use, but at the same time offerring many more features than the rest of them.

There are just too many features to mentions here, so the best way to find out what they are and experience them for yourself, is to signup for an account, browse the site, start using it and then you'll see what improvements I've made over all the other social-networking sites out there.

If you like what I've done with iBanter after a few days of using it, then please comment on it here and/or there and tell your friends about it too.

If, on the other hand, you don't like it after trying it for a couple of days, then simply delete your account there and then leave me a comment telling me what it was that put you off or tell me what I need to do to improve it.

Here's the link you need: iBanter

Or if you find the links not working in AOL, then please copy the following link into another browser, like FireFox or Internet Explorer:  http://ibanter.co.uk

Take care everyone and thanks to all who take the time to check out my new site.

World of the Sod - Destroyed

By the AOL Death-Star...

Hello... Long time, no ear-hole...

I'm hoping that you have just arrived here because you just received an alert, as I want to tell you that this journal is no more.

The reason that I stopped updating this journal, is because of a long running argument that I had with AOL. When they didn't get their own way, they deleted everything in my file-space, meaning I lost a lot of my journals pictures and other stuff.

Anyway, I'd like to draw your attention to my latest journal, which is a hilarious video blog called 'Mish-Mash'. Please visit it and sign up for the alerts there. Here is the link:

http://journals.aol.co.uk/davethesod/mish-mash/

While there, be sure to pop a comment in so that I may visit your blog and signup for your alerts also.

Take care...

Happy Easter To Everyone!!!

Just don't over-indulge with chocolate, like I just have...

Ok,  everyone, now for a return to all the weird, wacky and wonderful stuff that you all know and love me for.

So, without further a do, here is your Easter installment of FUN!!!

>> Joel sings... <<
"It's spring time," writes Veitch. "Joy is flooding my soul, and so I've made the happiest thing in the world." Featuring his new band 7 Seconds Of Love, it certainly is energetic.
http://www.7secondsoflove.com/winners/

>> Strange name worship <<
"My friend made this short Flash animation," boasts Craig, "based on my joyful mispronounciation-based South African leader song. I hope you like it!" We do Craig, we do. If we could afford to give you a special badge then we would.
http://www.hootsmon.com/fergietron/tokyosexwale.swf

>> Guess the object <<
"I wonder could you help me", enquires Neil, "about two years ago I was out on the piss, and on the way home I found this box. It's a normal cigar box but inside it's full of these little pieces of paper, ranging from really thin to card thickness. I've not a clue what this could be for and I reckon it to be the product of a deranged mind or something." Readers! If you know then get in touch.

The Objective: Christian Ministries run a science fair that teaches kids to disprove evolutionism with such rigorous experiments as 'My Uncle Is A Man Named Steve And Not A Monkey' and through making a scale Noah's Ark full of gerbils. It's almost too idiotic to be true - or is it?

>> Double-decker cat pram <<
Would you like to take your pets out for a walk, but are concerned they might get the benefit of exercise as well as fresh air? We can't, for the love of fuck, work out just who and what this weird collection of cages on wheels is for. Zoom in on the pic for a good close-up view of some unhappy cats.

>> Left-brain/right-brain quickfire quiz <<
The questions come at you from both sides: One side maths, the other colour-matching. The object is to see both how clever you are and which side of your brain you favour. In practice though it made us panic and spack around the screen in ungainly panic.

>> That girl in my spam <<
Spam. Like an old friend it greets you from your inbox every day. Rob of Cockeyed.com noticed one rather lovely face (and dress) cropping up again and again and launched a one-man mission to find out her true identity.
http://www.cockeyed.com/citizen/spam/alicia/alicia.html

>> Solid Easter egg <<
As kids we were always disappointed with Easter Eggs being hollow. What a rip-off. J0nnyspence obviously feels the same.
http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/j0nnyspence/egg/index.html

Annoy Americans from your PC

The best thing about Pictionary was that you had the chance to draw 'rude parts’ and make people try and guess what they were. And here’s the opportunity to do just that, while infuriating Americans, with online Pictionary. What better way to spend the Easter break?

Panther on the loose!

What is it about south east London? First of all a Kangaroo is let loose on the innocent people of Beckenham, now a bloody panther is stalking the streets of Sydenham. Tiddles, as he is now fondly known, attacked a bloke in his back garden this week, and is apparently six feet long. Christ.

We were considering hiring a panther costume and running around, but presumed we’d get an RSPCA rubber bullet in the backside. But if any of you readers fancy it, send your photographs to
jeff_maysh@ipcmedia.com

Booze phones, TASERS and pimp fights...

Well, that little lot should keep you going over the easter week-end.

Until next time, take care of yourself...

P.S.

Don't forget to visit my 'NSFW (Not Safe For Work)' blog over at BlogCity for all of the stuff that AOL would in no way permit me to put here. Do NOT visit if you are easily offended. Here is the link:

It's Been Nearly Three Months, But I'm Still Here...

I've just been quietly lurking in the shadows...

The Internet Business Handbook

So, where the hell have I been and what mischief have I been getting up to?

Wouldn't you just like to know!!!

Oh, you mean you dooo want to know. Err... Ok, then.

Well, I've been mostly working on my new website called, The Internet Business Handbook. That graphic above is a banner that you can click to take a look at it if you wish. It will open up in a new window, so you won't loose your place here. Go on, take a peek!!!

If you are interested in learning about starting your own on-line Internet business, then why not sign-up to my newsletter while you are there.

Working on it has kept me very busy, but also out of trouble. Which is always a good thing I suppose.

It is not finished yet, but I am hoping that it will be sometime between the middle to the end of April. That's the plan anyhow, but just when did anything in my life ever go to plan.

I have also just started a new blog that is dedicated to this website and to helping people who want to start their own business on the net. If that sounds like you, then be sure to click the link at the top-right of the page to get your auto-alerts when I update it and perhaps add a link to it from your own blog.

Here is the link:

The Internet Business Handbook Blog

That's enough about work for now. I have some great news for you.

As many of you know, my Tracey has been pregnant and to answer all those that have asked, "Yes, she has finally had it". She actually gave birth to my little darling daughter, Macy on the 10th of March which was also my birthday too. What a fantastic birthday present that was. She weighed in at a healthy 7lb 8oz and she's got all of her bits in the right places, all fingers and toes accounted for.

Here is a photo of me and my girl taken just a few seconds after her birth.

Isn't she just the most adorable little sweetie!!!

Well, this has got to be a quick update. It's very late and I'm absolutely knackered. I will update again very soon with some more pictures of, Macy.

So, take care of yourselves and play nicely.

27 December 2004

Where Have I been???

Wouldn't you like to know...

Firstly, I hope that you all had a wonderful time this Xmas and wish you all the best of success and good health for the coming year and all the ones that follow... We had a really great time, especially because it was my son, Oscar's first Xmas and 1st Birthday just a few days before on December 19th...

Boy, oh boy, have I been busy... What with Xmas and jumping through hoops to keep everyone happy, well fed and boozed up over the festive period, I have been working on a couple of new online projects as well... No rest for the wicked, ah... Those of you that know me well, will know that I do a lot of Internet Marketing to earn extra cash and this year has really been good to me in that respect... How else could I have paid off Mr. S. Clause enough to ensure that all my family and friends got what they wanted and more this Xmas... It seems to cost more and more each year, but thanks to my Internet Marketing, this will no longer be a problem...

Now, some more about the new projects that I am working on...

Project No.1...
This is the biggest and main thing that I have been working on for over a month now... It is a new website that will appeal to anyone who is thinking about, or has just started, making some extra money from home using their computer...

On this site, I will be sharing my successes with you and introducing you to all the programs that are earning me an extra income... Also, because I have tried and tested them, you can be sure that none of them are scams... Basically, if I haven't earned any money with a particular program already, it will NOT appear on my new site...

I certainly won't make the promise of making you a millionaire over night for little or no work like some sites do, because I can tell you now that there is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme... And, especially at the beggining, any new Home-based Business requires you to do some ground work at least before you can reap the benefits and I have already done most of this for you... And always remember this, I will give you all the help and support you need to make sure that you start to see those checks coming in when you joinany of my programs... I'll introduce you to a couple of them as a taster later by following the instructions in 'Project 2' and give you all a couple of
  XMAS FREE GIFTS
just for reading this...

The new site will consist of two main parts, a 'Public' area and a 'Members Only' area... Let me explain...

The 'Public' area will be the heart of the site where I will share my successes, profitable programs to join (newer programs will be introduced to members first, explained later), instructions on how to setup and market these programs, access to over £2,250 ($5,500) worth of software and e-books to help boost your sales at a fraction of the cost of what I paid for them (because I have full resell rights, most of them are discounted by up to 80%), marketing tips on how to generate more sales by increasing traffic to your websites and a reciprocal linking page that will help to increase your ranking in all the major search engines, including Google, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Alta Vista and many more... You can also sign-up for my website's FREE monthly newletter that will contain the latest news about my site, more marketing tips and programs to ensure you are reaching your full earning potential and a place that you will be able to advertise your own online business to other subscribers...

As if all that wasn't enough, by becoming a site member you not only have access to all that is available to everyone in the 'Public' area, but you have exclusive access to the 'Members Only' area that is also packed full of extra features... As a member, you will be able to download all the software and e-books mentioned earlier, totally FREE of all charges... All members will get the chance to join all the new opportunites, up to 3 months before they are released into the 'Public' area, so you can be sure of being ahead of the game... There will also be a members discussion forum where all the members can come together and ask for or offer help, share their experiences and successes and network with other members... How to become a member will be explained on the site when it is active as I am still ironing out the finer details...

Not much further to get your
                                                  XMAS FREE GIFTS
                                                                 From yours truely

Project No.2...
This is a simple one that I just thought about doing last night for YOU, my friends on AOL, so that you can get an insight into what the new site will entail and try out some of the programs before the site goes public... To do this, I have created a new group on AOL called 'My 1st Web Biz'... If you are interested in joining this new group then please
click here and then follow the easy instructions to join...

Ok, thanks for reading this far... As promised, here is how to get your hands on your
  FREE GIFTS
... You can also send any of your family and friends here to pick up these gifts also, just send anyone that you think might enjoy these gifts here to pick them up...

To get your
FREE GIFTS  all you have to do is
click here to get your copy of the e-book, 'Inside The Minds Of Winners' and here to get your copy of 'Black Label Edition II', that includes 100's of webmaster tools that even the absolute beginner can use to spruce up thier websites and journals...

Thank you all for listening...

Enjoy the rest of the holidays...

My New Web Site...

Tell me what you think...

If your wondering why I haven't updated my blog for a while, it's because I've been working like a mad man on my new website... I must admit, it is starting to look very good, even though the whole thing has been created using only the Easy Designer tool that AOL provides for creating personal home pages...

If you'd like to visit my site now and find out what I have been up to, then click the WWWOTS (WWW of the Sod) logo that you can see here on the left...

If you like what you find on my website, please feel free to spread the word and either put the linked logo above (just copy and paste it into your page), or a text link to it on your webpage or in your journal... It'd help me out enormously by trafficing more visitors to my site... Here is the full web address:

http://hometown.aol.co.uk/davethesod/index.html

Or alternatively, you can copy and paste this link:

WWW of the Sod

The site is not yet fully completed, but there is still a lot for you to see and do there... The FREE TUNES and FREE PHONES areas are fully completed, though I will update them regularly...

The area that I will be working on next is the MAKE MONEY area... From there I will be showing you how to make money from home using just your computer, internet connection and your own web page... If you don't yet have a web page yet, don't worry, the WEB DESIGN area of this site will help you get one up and running when it is finished... I will also be sharing Affiliate programs that I am a member of and that I know actually pay out... This will help you avoid all the scams out there because I have tested them out first and will only share with you the ones that are genuine...

Anyway, I hope that you like my new website... Remember to link back to itif you do, it will help me inthe search engine browser listings... You could also e-mail me to let me know what you think or leave a comment here, I'd really appreciate that...

Thanks for listening...

TTFN...

Trick or Treat...

Go the kids down my street...

Wowzers... Three updates in two days... Aren't you a lucky lot... Here is a little more from me in a wicked halloween stylie...

Question: What do batty old women with too much time on their hands do with it...
Answer:
They knit seasonal holiday hats for their hampsters, of course... I just know Bernmilo is going to love these pics... Perhaps she'll even do the same thing with her cats and post pics in her journal...

Be careful of these next links, do not click them if you are easily offended by sensless, mindless swearing... You have been warned!!! Just try to remember that it is just a harmless bit of fun and in no way depicts my own views and beliefs... Ok, here goes... Fourth in the series of the cactus family, here they get into the
halloween spirit... If you find that it doesn't make much sense to you, try watching episodes one... two... And three...

Twiddling your thumbs this Saturday afternoon??? Sgt
Thunder-Zombie invites you on a little jaunt
around London town - but you must come dressed as the undead... He gurgles, "We are but lifeless corpses rotting in the earth... However as a special celebration of Halloween we are intending to rise from the grave and feed off the flesh of the living... And drink some ales..." This starts at 2pm, so you'd better get creative with some ketchup and marker pens if you want to join in....

I am really big on all those paintings by such artists as Salvador Dali and the like, who pictures have other pictures hidden within them... Well, I was recently led by the scruff to this site that has pics on it in the same sort of style, except that they are all photographs that have been altered with the PhotoShop program... Very cool... See if you can find the hidden pics within pics there...

Ok, picture this scene... You work in a local radio station's news room... While bored one day, you make up a news story about fisting chickens, yep, fisting, just to look as busy as your collegues... Suddenly, you need to use the toilet, you go, but on your return you find that your made up story has gone from your desk... You then realize with horror that it has been taken up to the broadcast room is being read out on the air, right this minute... I bet this guy shat his pants and probably is no longer in employment at
Winchester FM Radio...

My friends at B3ta towers came across this site about a new lifestyle called 'Freeganism'... Like the Wombles of Wimbledon Common, you survive only on the food and things that us, err hum, normal people throw away... You don't buy or pay for anything...
Shit, how the hell do they power their web site, then??? I think the answer must be in the question somewhere...

Now who the hell would want to use a one-handed keyboard, apart from one-handed people, of course... I have trouble enough using two hands... But, if you are the sort of person that likes to do a jigsaw, crossword puzzle or stroke the cat or yourself, cough, while typing, then you've just gotta get one of these... Perfect for those that like to cyber in Instant Messages and chatrooms, if you know what I mean...

This must be the ultimate game for lazy people... 'MindBall' is akin to telepathic tennis... You actually win by being more relaxed than your opponent... Check out this site for more details...

I just gotta get me one of these, it's called TV B-Gone... Basically, it will turn off virtually any remote-controlled television within range... I'm gonna have lots of fun down the pub on football match days with this little gizmo, it's sure to cause some fights with the punters, chuckle chortle...

I thought this was very clever... It's just the same as the olde time classic where you are shown a small part of a larger picture and have to guess what it is... Well this one can only be described as 'non-porn porn'... Don't worry, there is no real porn there, so long as you stay away from the banner adverts... I really did have some fun with this one, but then, I always was a little twisted...

Do you like eggs??? I like eggs... These guys like eggs so much that they've done an animation and made a song about them... Cute, but far too much eggy likiness here for me... Pass the bucket, please...

There really musn't be much to do in the part of Brazil that this guy lives in... So what do you think he chose as a way of wasting all those empty hours away??? Collecting butterflies, stamps, bottle tops or the ancient chinese art of origami paper folding??? Of course not, this is the 21st century after all... So, what better pastime than Drinking Strawigami... Wow!!!

When you've put your lawnmower away for the night in your shed or garage, what do you think it dreams of??? Perhaps they dream of flying through the air to the sound of, Aled Jones, singing 'We're Flying Through the Air', like  this one does... If mine could do this in real life, perhaps I'd be able to trim the conifers at the bottom of my garden (pictured right) that have reached nearly 50 feet tall... If only!!!

The history of the world, according to Weebl & Bob, part one...

What is it, this week on the web, about eggs... This time, the eggs are all omlette'd and sunny side up...

This week, I'm going to finish off with a game... Everyone has been going mad for weeks now with the game that has your mouse pointer going round a maze, but with your actions reversed and causes you to pull out your hair and smash up your keyboard and mouse... Well, this new one is created by the same people that brought you that damned last game, only this one, called 'Nucleus', is much better... Go on, give it a go... You know that you want to...

Until next time my friends...
