Go Green

Time to make a difference

Mark - Coordinator, Community Standards

Green living and environmental awareness are very hot on the agenda at the moment, and even characters in virtual online worlds may have their own carbon footprint and contribute to climate change.

Whether you're confused, concerned or curious, you may wish to check out AOL's new Go Green site. On Go Green, you can find more about pressing environmental issues, calculate your carbon footprint and get easy tips and hints that allow you to make a difference and reduce your carbon emissions.

I'm recycling, reusing, and washing at 30C - what will your pledge be?

I have been "green" all my life, could not afford not to be! Electric and gas and water prices being what they are! Was raised on "close the door" turn that water off, turn that unused light off" etc. Is just comon sense and prudence. I am heartily sick of being told I can save the planet! If this govt and others are truly concerned why did they send all our manufacturing industry abroad to countries that quite honestly don't give a s**t about the environment?

When China and Russia et al come on board I might, just might, think our powers that be give a damn! Mantime tax and penalise this population to the hilt. Is an easy option that the concerned will fall for hook line and sinker! Wake up and smell the corruption! Green? Only us!
