Having issues uploading to FTP?
Thanks to everyone who's advised us recently of issues you've been having with uploading files to your AOL FTP space, which we've escalated.
Apologies if you've been discommoded by recent problems, but good news - we've been advised that a patch will be installed later in the week, which should resolve this issue. We'll let you know of any updates, so do check back later in the week!

Hi Martin,
Well it certainly messes up my Blog....It doesn't even show the pictures in the right order. If this is what AOL calls progress I think my Blog will be moving elsewhere.

Hello Dave,
Looks like AOL have converted your slide show into a Flash 8 movie.
I suppose it is yet another change by AOL, without telling anyone.
I am sure Mark will have the official AOL reply posted later, saying this is to improve your AOL experience.

This morning I visited my weblog to find that all my pictures which previously were shown as a slideshow, some with a description are now being displayed like a video with the pictures merging. I noticed that there were a number of options but none seemed to display the pictures as previously. Could someone tell me what is happening please.

Hello Mark,
I sure do hope you actually spoke to the head of AOL technical services in America, when you were told that a patch would be in place later in the week, to resolve the FTP access problem and that you were not just contacting AOL support, who tell everyone that any and all problems will be resolved in 72 hours.
I mention this, as a poster on the AOL Hometown & FTP board, pointed out it is now the 12th of May and still the access problem exists.
Why I have the chance to ask, did they mention if the patch will also include repairing the cgi-bin notification by e-mail function for guest books and the cgi-bin forms by e-mail, which went down at the same time as FTP access. Also will they ever repair the automated AOL 'thank you' page displayed on form submit, which has not functioned for nearly three years now?
Martin.

Many thanks to those at AOL who listened and took action.
