DAFC team strip numbers

Phil Hiscox writes on the SWPL site

I think Dartmouth would have a chance of claiming the "Stuart Cadmore Award for Stretching The Rules" !

They have squad numbers but the squad numbers are only between numbers 1 and number 17 !

Look for a rule change to close the gap at the AGM !

The Dartmouth team strip number system is easily followed by those of us who live in Dartmouth. Our street numbers give the clue.

I for instance live at number 49 in my street but the next door neighbour lives at another 49. Some streets have consequetive numbers, 1,2,3, etc, others have alternating numbers 1,3,5 and so forth. Some houses have names but no numbers and others have the same number with a,b, and c added.

It's actually a lot more complicated than this and opposing teams might like to know that this is why Dartmouth AFC has 7 postmen in its 1st XI. Not only are they au fait with various numbers systems but they train all day on Dartmouth's hills and they are the fittest team in the Peninsula League
