Lindane on chromosome 6

OK, Simon Wessely, put this in your pipe of ignorance and smoke it!

A few entries ago, I mentioned that blood/fat tests showed that the ubiquitous and long lasting organochlorine pesticide called "Lindane" had attached itself to chromosome 6 in my cells (and probably other pesticides on other chromosomes).

I have never, to my knowledge, used Lindane.  So where has it come from?  Has  it lasted in every cell of  my body for 27 years or more?    Agricultural use of Lindane has been banned for several years.  Does this blood/fat test mean that it is still being used illegally by the farmers around here, and that I have been continually exposed to it?

Curious about what the genes on Chromosome 6 are all about, I looked it up.  This is what I found:

Chromosome 6 contains the Major Histocompatibility Complex, which contains over 100 genes related to the immune response, and plays a vital role in organ transplantation.

...the estimated number of genes varies. Chromosome 6 likely contains between 1,100 and 1,600 genes.

Wow!  After marvelling, with me, on the beauty, exactness and attention to detail of God's creation - and how "fearfully and wonderfully we are made"  (Psalm 139:14) , please read the next bit.  I hope you have already noted that Lindane (obviously, in my case), has altered my systematic "Major histocompatibilty complex".  It must have, because you don't have a nerve-damaging poison sitting on your shoulder for ages without suffering some damage.  This damage is in every cell of my body and has mutated my DNA.

So, Wessely, how do you explain that?  The body does not lie.  This damage is PHYSICAL, not emotional - although it has to be remembered that the damage might well have carried over into the limbic system of persons exposed to pesticides, because that is what it often happens to people who have been poisoned.  The oftentimes  mood changes caused by the poisoning are certainly not the result of somatization of anxieties or other psychological 'complexes'.  They are the result of physical damage to chromosomes by pesticide poisons.

What could be clearer than that, Simon Wessely?   Or are you too comfortable in your tunnel vision to see any scientific fact that is outside its confining walls?  Stop ruining people's lives with your unproven theories and your unhelpful, damaging and unproven 'therapies'.

Does this not explain MCS?

But that is not all, read on:

The following are some of the genes located on chromosome 6:

  • BCKDHB: branched chain keto acid dehydrogenase E1, beta polypeptide (maple syrup urine disease)
  • COL11A2: collagen, type XI, alpha 2
  • CYP21A2: cytochrome P450, family 21, subfamily A, polypeptide 2
  • DSP: Desmoplakin gene linked to cardiomyopathy
  • EYA4: eyes absent homolog 4 (Drosophila)
  • HFE: hemochromatosis
  • HLA-B: major histocompatibility complex, class I, B
  • MUT: methylmalonyl Coenzyme A mutase
  • MYO6: myosin VI
  • PARK2: Parkinson disease (autosomal recessive, juvenile) 2, parkin
  • PKHD1: polycystic kidney and hepatic disease 1 (autosomal recessive)
  • TNXB: tenascin XB
  • VEGF: vascular endothelial growth factor A (angiogenic growth factor)
  • IGF2R: insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor

It is the third one down - "Cytochrome P.450" - that I am most interested in.  That cytochrome is an enzyme that eliminates natural poisons from the body.  A genetic shortage of P450 means that poisons stay in their body for longer than is normal, with consequent poisoning. That is why SSRI drugs (Prozac, Seroxat, etc.) that are purported to make up for a shortage of serotonin in the brain actually overload the brains of some people with a P.450 shortage so as to poison them.

The completely unacceptable result is tardive dystonia, tardive dyskinesia, Parkinsons,  etc.  Psychiatrists lump these dreadful conditions as 'side effects'   !!!

People are in that unenviable position now because of an unproven theory by psychiatrists who know nothing about what is happening in the body cells.

Where is the scientific proof that some people are short of serotonin?  There is none.

Do you know anyone with a disorder, not hereditary, that might have been caused by damage to chromosome 6?   Please read on:

The following diseases are some of those related to genes on chromosome 6:

Viewing the above, we already know that there is a strong link between Parkinsons and pesticides,  but did you notice "acquired porphyria" in that list as well?

According to many medics today, King George 111 likely suffered from porphyria.  Porphyria is a very serious, physically and mentally painful illness that has no cure.  Porphyria disease is the result of a lack, or shortage of cytochrome P.450.

Perhaps farmer George had his illness passed on through the genes.  Perhaps not.  Who knows what poisons he was exposed to in the days of lead ointment to make the skin whiter and powdered wigs?

The tests that I have had in the past twelve months have absolutely proven that I have had my body and brain physically damaged by pesticides, Lindane being the chief culprit.

Of course, neurophysiologists carry out an organised train of tests, one after the other, depending on what the initial tests show.  Last month, when I saw Dr. Goran Jamal for further testing, I mentioned the question of acquired porphyria and P450 enzyme.  He said with a smile, "We are getting there."   During our conversation,  when he was carrying out electronic tests by using an instrument that he himself had invented which the NHS gladly accepted for free as a gift, he volunteered the observation that:  "We never guess."  In other words, everything has to be proven by the appropriate tests.

How complete unlike Simon Wessely's 'theories', which are mostly guesswork, with no physical, scientific proof offered!

Dr. Jamal knows not to guess, better than the average neurophysiologist,  because he has served as an expert witness in several court cases concerning health damage that was caused by negligent use of pesticides (torts).  Every case was won.

Unfortunately, we have yet to see any case trialled and won in the UK courts   The reason?  Because those who sued (sheep farmers and other individuals) were paid off with settlements.  No judge's precedent was set and therefore no help given to future pesticide damage cases.

Never mind, I don't think the Michael Hausfeld will accept a settlement on behalf of the airline pilots poisoned by organophosphates while doing their job.  I think Hausfeld is interested in justice.  Still, settlements are always offered in order to keep the dispute out of court, so it will be the pilots who decide whether or not to accept money in place of justice, not their lawyers.

So, Simon Wessely, please stop your ignorant mouthings.  Have some consideration for your fellow humans and stop being such a toady to government inaction.  People with MCS, ME or fibromyalgia need, not only to have the cause of their illnesses shouted from the rooftops, but they need government funded scientists to work on possible remedies for the chemical damage that have been wreaked in their bodies by pesticides and other poisons in our environment.

Do you, dear reader, want agricultural pesticides banned entirely and for our future food to be produced organically?

I do.

If you feel strongly enough, write to your M.P., or the Prime Minister, or the head of DEFRA, demanding that this public health menace should be banned entirely.

If you have neither the courage nor the wit to do that, then please demand organic food in preference to pesticide-laced food in every shop you spend your money in.  A letter to the manager about it won't go amiss either.

Every little helps...

Good health to you!   Bettineolive@AOL.com
