Feeling Happy
countdown, puppy class and stuff
Well another week at a close!! This year is flying by and the wedding of our year is almost on us........6 weeks on yesterday to be exact........so I am now flying round trying to find an outfit that does not make me look like my Mum (bless her soul); why do most Mother of the Groom/Bride outfits from the bridal boutiques make you look like a cross between Dame Edna and Hyacinth Bucket on a bad day? I know what I want but can I find it? No is the short answer!! I still need to find out what Lucy's Mum has got (she has found her outfit already) before I make a final choice....but I am after a nice floaty trouser suit as dresses tend not to suit me now I am a bit on the larger side (despite all my efforts to lose weight!!!).
Looking back through my archives a couple of days ago to find Angela's wedding entry to show a friend and it was lovely to see it all again, plus the lovely entry done by my lovely friend Jan over at Serendipity. Angela looked lovely on her day and I am certain Lucy will look equally as lovely on 28th June; I will cry for sure as I never thought Kevin would marry!! He was always the most sensitive of my two children (still is to a degree) and I am so very proud of him now......he has turned his life completely round from the problem he was to us all back in 2001!! Yes, he is still a worry to a degree with his motorbike (he has a rod in his left leg from a previous accident) and all the antics he gets up to but he is an excellent Partner and Father so yes I will cry at his wedding!!!
Sascha completed her puppy classes (all three of them) with a certificate to prove she had done so........who knows it may be the first of a few!!! I won't put her in for the serious shows but Ijust may put her in the 'Fun' dog shows as the cutest face or whatever!!! She is learning fast but is still completely scatty in a lot of ways!! She is adorable and growing very fast!
With regard to the band, well we have a temporary singer for now and will have a 2nd temporary singer whilst we find a suitable permanent person. We had a gig on Saturday night just gone (the 10th) and it was excellent with Vicky, the stand in for that night - she has an amazing voice and they also did 3 numbers, which they had only talked about in the car park in a break, which they had never done before either together or apart....and they did them perfectly!!! Just briefly, on a sadder note, Hayley - our previous singer lost her Dad last week to MS, he had been poorly on and off with chest infections but he did not recover from the last one, he will be sadly missed by all that knew him and our thoughts and love are with the family at this time.
Anyway, time to say bye for this week and I will be back soon

Hi Joan,
Just catching up after a hiatus in my internet connection. I worked it out that the wedding should be this week! I hope you've found that perfect outfit now! Sascha's looking adorable still! Enjoy the wedding. Jeannette xx -
Been trying to catch up on everyone. I lost a lot of my alerts and am gradually putting them back. Now I see you have not posted in a long time. I do hope that all is well with you. Hope to see you posting again soon.
