Spring Equinox
Wo'Moon Circle of One Gathering
I invite you to celebrate the SPRING EQUINOX, which will be held at the Full Moon on Friday the 21 st March 2008, here at my house in the yurt. We will start at 7 pm and will finish the ceremony around 9 pm.
With the strong Moon energies, we will celebrate and focuss on the Vernal Equinox.
One way to relate to the equinox is to understand and be comfortable with balance: balance of light and dark; of night and day, balance of seemingly opposite forces in our Self. The Spring equinox is the time when seedlings push their way forward into the increasing light, becoming free of the gestating confinement of winter, finding the balance between rootedness and expansion.
At the Wo'Moon's, we will explore where we have felt 'rooted' in our 'Be-ing', and celebrate the unbinding of our creative, joyful energies into light of springtime and new beginnings.
When we meet and share, we’ll support each other in birthing into the light our dreams, creativity and vision for the new soul-growing season.
Our Circle of One Gathering will include meditation, drumming, singing and chanting, and sharing.
Please bring: a blanket, drum/rattle ( if you have one, otherwise we will have some here for you to use), objects for the altar for blessings, and please bring a delicious, healthy dish to share for a potluck feast after. We ask for a donation of £ 10 , but if this is difficult for you, we can always discuss ways of exchange.
We are Wo'Moon from all different backgrounds, we welcome all Wo'Moon, as through understanding we can build bridges and support each other in our journey's of our lives!
Please let me know, if you are joining us. The Circle is expanding, which is beautiful, but it helps if I know how many Wo'Moon will be there on the night. Really hope to share a sacred space with you again soon.
With Love and Blessings,
Claudia xxx

Next Circle of One Gathering
Dear Wo'Moon
I hope you are all enjoying the crisp weather and that you are feeling good.
The next Circle of One Gathering will be on friday 8th February here in the yurt, at my house in Lumphanan. We will start at 7.30 pm and finish around 9.30 pm.
This evening will be when we have just entered the dark moon. The evening will have a focus on this, to share and to support where we are in ourselves this dark time of year. We will be heading to Spring soon, and the gathering gives us a chance to disolve some residue of the Winter within, so we will have a space for the Spring to enfold. As usual we will meditate, share stories, sing, drum and have a feast after to celebrate the Goddess within. Please bring some food to share. We ask for a donation of £10 for the Gathering, if this is not possible for you, please contact me as you might be able to offer some help instead with the set up. If you feel you need to be there, you will be.
I really look forward to sharing a sacred space with you again,
With Love and Blessings,Claudia xxx

Tibetan Monks in Banchory

On the 11th December 2007 we facilitated a Cultural Performance by the Tibetan Monks from the Drepung Monastery in the Banchory Town Hall. They were on a World Tour and their message is to generate Love and Compassion towards all sentient beings.
The performance was sold out and we all enjoyed the evening very much. The monks stayed in our house and it was so lovely to participate in their ceremonies held in the yurt, in the garden, where we meet in the Wo'Moon's Circle also. The ceremonies dedicated to the Goddess Tara, created wonderful energies, and we feel so happy to have had the blessing in this sacred space. The monks know that we facilitate workshops and have Wo'Moon gatherings in our yurt and I look forward to our next Wo'Moon meeting :-) with all of you. At the end of the performance in Banchory, the monks offered me a katha (a scarve for good blessings) and a tangkha (a wallhanging with a meditation deity) of the Goddess Tara. I thought that was such a beautiful gift, and I will hang it in the yurt for you all to enjoy.
May the Goddess Tara be with you,may she bring you courage, strenght and take away all your fears and fill you with Love and Compassion for you to share with All that is.
All my Love,
Claudia xxx

Celebrating the Cycles of the Earth
Samhuinn Gathering
As with many ancient words Samhuinn has various different spellings, but is pronounced Sow'in. Samhuinn means the end of summer. As a celebration it marked the end of harvest, preparation for the on coming Winter and was also the beginning of the Celtic New Year on November 1st.
At this time, the Circle of one Wo'Moon are invited to remember our Foremothers, from family lines and of Women's cultural ones, by meditation and sharing some chants and wisdom in a yurt, at the Fire Festival at Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, this saturday 27th October. If you are already going to this Festival, check out the times when you are there, as the meditation on this will be for Wo'moon only, and might be at 3 or 4 pm. If you would like to go to the Festival, you can visit the website on www.spiritofthemoment.net (for more information on what is happening and ticket prices etc.)
If you cannot join us this saturday, then perhaps you can make some time for yourself, and connect with your ancestors and honour their teachings with feelings of gratitude, love and compassion and affirm endings and make way for new births from within yourself. If you would like to use some incense, I suggest lavender and rosemary for purification. And perhaps you would like to make an altar with some candles and photographs of your Foremothers.
Later at the Fire Festival , again check for times when you are there, Jason Schroeder and myself, will together lead a workshop on Sacred Sounds. We will guide you through a meditation, by using Sacred Chants and Tibetan siging bowls. This workshop will be for both men and Wo'Moon. This workshop will also be facilitated in one of the yurts at the Festival.
We hope to share sacred space with you there,
With Love, Blessings and Crispy Autumn Greetings,
Claudia

Venerable Angie Muir teachings
I invite you to join us for another meditation with the Venerable Angie Muir. This an oportunity we can have to learn to come in contact with our pure heart. We are very blessed to have these teachings brought to us in the North east of Scotland, thought by the Ven. Angie. The previous teachings we received have been very well attended and many have benefitted from these. The Ven. Angie has a lovely way of connecting with the participants, and we all love her way of teaching and her lovely smile and great sense of humor. The Ven. Angie has returned last month from India and Nepal, where she attended teachings of his Hollines the 14th Dalai Lama, and she has been teaching at Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. If you wish to book a place, contact me asap. Previously, some people who had booked their place didn't commit themselves to the booking, and I was unable to contact people who were on the waitinglist. Please be mindful of others and let me know in advance if you cannot make so I have time to let others know that there is a place for them.
We ask for a minimum of £ 10 donation, which will all go the charity of 'The Shambala Retreat Centre', Findhorn Bay, Forres, Scotland. www.shambala-retreat.org
Healing Anger Teaching, Discussion and Purification Meditation with Venerable Angie Muir 2-4pm, Saturday, July 7
At my house in the yurt, for further details please contact me by email inner-melodies@hotmail.co.uk
To cultivate the potential for compassion and love inherent within us, it is crucial to counteract their opposing forces of anger and hatred.
Explore methods in the Buddhist Tradition to develop the power of patience and genuine humility to help overcome the energy of aggression and to promote inner and outer peace and harmony in one's life.
Venerable Angie will also introduce a very powerful meditation called Vajrasattva purification. This purifies the seeds of anger and other negative energy which obscure our ability to act clearly and with correct wisdom in our lives.
With Love and Blessings,
Claudia
